I'm legit curious, rank these options by which one you'd want to happen from most versus least:

- Trade Randle out
- Sign FVV
- Take on a bad but short term contract that comes with an additional first round pick
- Sign a stretch 4 that isn't an RFA (Gallo, Bertans, Grant qualify imo).

The homerun would be to do em all imo, but I'm just curious how you'd prioritize it.

Perhaps that could be 4 especially if we could get a higher pick though with our luck it wouldn't happen lol.

If we get outbid for FVV just let him but he wants to come here whatever :manny:No Handles Randle and Elfrid absolutely need to get the fukk out. No more signing guys Perry drafted:mjtf:

Yeah, my thinking on FVV is I’m okay with the 22 million offer but if that’s not enough than I’m assuming he wanted a better roster situation all along. I’d probably go
1 Randle out
2 stretch 4 in
3 FVV
4 bad contract for an additional pick (Unless we could legit get oubre and the 10th pick straight up).

I am down for that too.

Trade Randle for Horford and pick #21
Flip #21 and #27 for #10 and Oubre
Draft them FSU boys Vassel and P. Williams
Get FVV for 24 Mil
Sign Dot back with the MMLE

then see if we can get Kuminga in the 21 draft.

Grant's high three point percentages are deceptive. Most of his shots are either open (closest defender 4-6 ft) or wide open (6ft+) in Denver. He's not commanding the respect from a defense nor making long range bombs on the move off of ball screens or contested like a sniper Bertans can. He's still way better fit than Randle.

Grant isn’t a good enough shooter

Yea, grant is the most “product of his team” player I’ve seen available. Everything everyone is scared of from FVV i actually feel about him. He’d be perfect in Miami tho

I tie the two together in that, I like or dislike adding them depending on our other moves. If we dump Randle and draft one of the sharp shooters like Vassell at 8; I think Grant gives you enough range with his almost 4 attempts per game where the rest of his positive attributes offset the fact that Bertans and Gallo are much better floor stretchers...They also share the similarity in that they fit our age range better than the other FA options at their position.

Since I kept the options pretty vague, I think you can make it work. An offseason of CP3 (or FVV), Vassell, Grant would be pretty hype to me.

van fleet better than CJ:dead:

so many comments in here d riding van fleet won't age well:heh:
U underrate VanVleet.

C.J. is a better pure scorer but a trash defender. VanVleet also averaged 20/4/7 with 1.6 steals and shot 39% from 3 on 10 attempts in the playoffs this year.

This guy is good dog I don’t know I guess his name just ain’t sexy for you. :dame:

Sure handed low TO guy, great three point and FT shooter, strong and quick, high I.Q., is good on and off the ball defensively and offensively, good in the P&R, can penetrate and break down defenses and probe, clutch, playoff experienced. A real hardworking pro with leadership traits. Only 25 and entering his prime.

I see the vision. He’d be cheaper too right? He can’t be asking for more than 15 a year? My only thing is, if your building around RJ and Mitch your going to need 3 plus shooters around them. I don’t think 2.5 is going to cut it. That defense tho? 5 solid to plus defenders ob the floor is something I’ve wanted in a Knicks team in a while.
