lol Frank has improved. He’s gotten more aggressive, actually shoots now and was driving more and has been the best perimeter defender on the team since he was drafted. Yes, he’s not a star... i don’t think he was ever drafted to be one. Why is that not ok? What’s the point of throwing the baby out with the bath water? Point guards notoriously take longer to develop. Why is it crazy to say that i would love to see what he (and the rest of our YOUNG guys) would look like under competent coaching and development for once? Does Frank have a shorter leash then the rest of the guys? NATURALLY. But is he a finish product to written off at 22 years old? Absolutely not. The kid is 4 months younger than Obi Toppin.
Yes he's probably our best perimeter defender but we're terrible defensively & he's inconsistent & gets into foul trouble more times than not. He's had since 2017 to at least improve his handle (since he is a PG) so he can slash & maybe get to the basket or open court but looks exactly the same since he was drafted. His jumper is exactly the same; inconsistent & unable to consistently knock down wide open looks. His handle & J are 2 things he can improve on himself which clearly hasn't translated on the court & that's on him. You can't blame bad coaching for that because those are tools a PG in the NBA should have or can fully develop. Frank's done nothing to warrant keeping him on and "waiting to develop him with coaching".
