The trend we've had over 3 of the last 4 games (and prior to that) is the Knicks play well enough to compete with playoff teams for 3 quarters, and then blow it in the 4th. If the roster was really so terrible, the Knicks would just be outright losing. The Knicks play good to great basketball and then completely go away from what gave them success in the closing minutes. That is a COACHING issue. If the players that are on the court are choosing to go away from winning basketball, it's the coach who puts them out there and leaves them out there. I don't wanna hear about this being an imperfect roster. I can name 4 or 5 winning teams with an imperfect roster. This coach needs to coach better

He figured it out to close last season. They should bring Sheed back to remind him what he's obviously forgotten
The thing is Mitch might not have the bball iq to ascend past what we are currently seeing

Hopefully he proves me wrong as the season goes along and next season

I usually give young players 5 years from entering the league before giving up on them

For example look at STAT. On offense he knew what he was doing and was a gifted finisher/slasher to the basket w/ his athleticism

But he never figured it out on defense because he just couldn't figure it out

Even if he doesn't have the IQ, his natural instincts have brought him to where he is now. If we can hammer certain things into him with work from great defensive bigs, then he may pick it up off habit
