Honestly, this is a relief. I don't know how good Miller will do but last time we ended up with Rambis as the interim coach
.Miller was a defensive minded coach in the G-League and he has some tools to try and make this team play defense at least. I wonder how long until we start hearing guys yell "ICE" as a pick and roll begins. It'll be music to my ears if Frank and Mitch are out there and we hear that. Won't make us a winning team but that ish just makes sense for those two. Drop against the high PnR, ICE anything where you can get the ball handler to the sideline...with Frank's wingspan and Mitch's athleticism, it could actually stop some of the bleeding (again, not enough to win but enough to not lose by 20 once out of every three games which is what we're doing right now).

That is the least probable of all scenarios. Either the Knicks keep losing and Dolan gets rid of Mills, Perry, and brings in someone else to start completely over, or the Knicks turn the season around and our FO stays to fight another season. On GP, new GM's and Team President's don't like holdovers from previous regimes. And it's better to have a FO, GM, Coach all in sync

I agree w/ everything you said but that doesn't automatically mean Miller is gone
If the Knicks can get a coach bud level coach or close to it that would be great

Easiest way to explain it is that when a ball handler is on the wing and tries to use a screen, your on ball defender cheats the screen and takes away the middle of the floor while the guy on the screener drops a bit to contain any attempted drives. Certain stretch fours can break it, but Mitch is so athletic and Frank has so much length that I think you get those two to perfect it and you can contain most screens.
In short: ICE = "I'm forcing him sideline, but giving him a lane. Fall back and cover me"
