I’m really surprised by the Morris love in this thread.

:ehh:

I might have to pay more attention since I actually think he plays more selfishly than even Randle and don’t see him cheering for his teammates the way Julius does.
How does Morris play more selfishly than Randle? :gucci:

Morris has a classic small forward game he’s a scorer and can get his own shot at any time.

Y’all may hate the optics but his shots are justified in my opinion. He’s shooting 49% on 10-16 foot jumpers and 47% from 3. He’s been blistering all year and has been doing this prior to joining the Knicks. Look at his shot chart from Boston last season and the efficiency from all spots on the floor.

If we had better paint spacing and could get him more shots going downhill at the rim he would be a 20 point scorer.

on morris- i thought the hope when signing the vets to one year deals in the offseason was that some would play well and then be flipped for assets. so now we're here with one of them playing really well. trade him for a first rounder if you can get it. it's just business :hubie:

barrett is the 3 of the future anyway. why sign a 30 year old SF to the multi years/big money he'll likely want?

someone mentioned trading randle and moving morris to the 4. id prefer that scenario but it seems more far fetched, so realistically i think trading morris is the right move. if the young core was better (namely dsj, frank and knox) i would probably feel different, but they need more chances at acquiring young talent. as many as they can get. :yeshrug:
No point in adding mediocre young low upside players and late first round picks who likely won’t amount to shyt. :scust:

We have a top lottery pick coming and several young players already. Lock up the solid vet whose is an ideal fit next to Mitch. He’s a good player to have in general because of his versatility, shooting, defense, toughness. He will be able to be moved later when Knox is ready to be a power forward.

The thing is... other teams know that Randle sucks and Morris is the talent.

You cant say that for sure breh, Mitch one of our best players and we picked him in the 2nd round we just have to draft smart and actually have been. If only we had Torontos luck and manage to get lucky with a Siakam or Vanvleet :francis:
