I've got serious issues with how this franchise has handled player development and Trier's no different. From the outside looking in, it seemed like they did him dirty and then he regressed. He handled that poorly for sure too, don't get me wrong. But I do think he got kinda screwed and I'm rooting for him to a find a team that can take advantage of his scoring ability while covering for his limitations.

We love to overrate our players but there's no reason to shed tears over Dotson either.

He's 26 years old and has been shooting 41% from the field last two seasons :francis:

Yes, Dotson is a replaceable player. U can find another Dotson and I fukk with dude.

BRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKLLLLLYYYYYNNNN

Watching he and Scrambles refuse to give RJ the ball when he had it going :hhh:
Watching Elfrid pass to a doubl/triple teamed Scrambles in the post vs. a wide open RJ :scust:

Elfrid: Am I starting tonight coach?

Competent head coach: nikka, when is your contract up. Don't nobody want your bum chucking ass on the team.

Kick rocks nikka. Go play soccer with a grenade or something. fukk up out my face.

Deni's a player I like in that his skillset can be really fun to build with if you're a creative GM or coach. He's got range, can grab a board and run the break himself, he's a really good passer for his position and he's got more grit than you'd expect. You could toy with moving him around for small ball units or oversized ones alike. All of that said, I don't see a future star, so you'd be picking him while conceding that there's a lid on how high he climbs. In a draft with so much uncertainty though, I think 5-8 is the range he becomes really viable. I suspect if we stay put in the draft, Killian or Toppin is around both of whom I'd prefer. Even if we draft and those guys are gone too, I'd be caught debating Haliburton, Lewis and Deni...this draft is really hard to make a board for.

I don’t know Lewis well, but for a while here I’ve said I think we come away with one of Hayes, Haliburton, or Deni and I am sticking to that. I do think the knicks go BPA. They’ve been burned going for position need with Frank and Knox. Also there are some decent PG’s later in the draft and they could always give DSJ another shot.
