The Knicks’ front office has finished head coach interviews, were reportedly "wowed" by Jason Kidd

^I hate this, a black man has a great interview And has been successful lately. They call him a fast talking, charlatan, a white man is favored to get a job due nepotism after failing the last one..... no outrage.



I would argue with them but what’s the point , they going to be racist till they die

Thibs and Kidd are on the same tier as damn near everyone else we're talking to for me. It's Atkinson, that "meh" tier, the "new guys that are intriguing but obviously won't be hired" tier, and then Mark Jackson.

Sidenote: Honestly all the Kidd talk just reminds me that we probably could have had Budenholzer and blew it.

You really think we could have had Budenholzer? Once the Milwaukee job opened up I gave up any thoughts of Bud coming here; the Giannis attraction would be too strong IMO for us to overcome. I figured he'd use us to drive up the Bucks' price.

Yeah but I only go as far as saying think so, I understand how you view it too. It's just the vibe I got from how the rumors played out. I think Fizdale was always the pick then like Thibs will probably wind up being Rose's choice all along here. The indifference I have toward Thibs is eerily similar too. But I feel that way toward everybody this year.

Those two bold lines kinda nail where my head's at. It makes sense that you want chemistry between the front office and coach; teams fall apart and underachieve otherwise. But just being friendly with the FO shouldn't be a deciding factor. It could be a tie breaker or some ish, that's it.
