"in the best case scenario" is an important part of that phrase...you can make him work as a second option in an offense built to compliment his game. But you don't want a team building their offense around a solid second option in any situation.

He's not ruined, he just doesn't belong in this roster. I'm sure there are viable teams out there that will make him look like the all Star you think he is

Yeah, nothing about a good team intended. Randle under the best circumstances for himself, the individual player, is capable of putting up 20+ ppg on good efficiency and adding a few assists into the mix.

Randle plays like a rampaging drunk. Not an ounce of finesse in his game.

Randle often drives into multiple defenders with a rim runner like Mitch.

Portis is supposed to be a stretch big coming off a 39% 3PT season. That would open up the floor for Randle. Or at least that’s the idea Randle insists on barreling into traffic regardless teams are collapsing on him regardless because of that. Fiz isn’t an idiot there’s a reason he’s doing it. Portis hasn’t been hitting this year outside of that Bulls game and Randle’s I.Q. is shyt anyway which is why it isn’t working at all. Fiz is trying to trade some defense for better floor spacing to start games.

I know he wants better spacing for Randle but inserting Portis into the lineup is not the way to do it. It says a lot about Fizdale's coaching level that he thought that move would work after watching first 6 games.

Portis was shooting 39% from 3 last season but in NY he's been ISO and post up heavy and reluctant to shoot 3s outside of the Bulls game.

You don't need a minute of coaching experience to know that Portis, Randle and Morris trio won't work in 2019 or any other year for that matter. Knox has been on fire from outside and is the obvious move if you want better spacing.

If you want a lineup that features Randle and gives him better spacing you go small ball with him at the 5:

RJ
Frank/Payton when healthy

Lmao no method to the madness. Asking about the relatively high MPG for a rookie doesn't imply that he needs load management. But it was a slick way to deflect from the question. The evidence that this dude is a bad HC keeps mounting up.

The roster being bad is not a good excuse for the lack of a system, accountability, and player development. It's not so much about wins and losses at this point, but a consistent set of processes that can scale. I can foresee this team starting the season 5-15 while not showing any signs of a system.

5-15 if were lucky.
