Since it looks like him and Lavine ain't working in Chicago, if we can clear up the logjam with some trades, dude is still young and could space the floor and I think Frank, RJ and Mitch would compliment him on offense and can hide him on D. :yeshrug:

Don't know what it would take though, but dude does look like a diet KP without the defense.

he’s exactly KP 2.0 but you’re right he can space the floor but has no defense.

he’s giving me bargnani vibes though:whoa:

Brehs what would y'all think if we went after Markannen when we could make some trades? :jbhmm:
Dead ass before I came in this thread and saw this post I was ready to make a similar post. I've been watching the Bulls and keeping tabs on Markannen and I think the Knicks should make a push for him while his value is low. Yeah he's slumping bad now and it's kind of a risk, but he's flashed all-star potential before. A package centered around Knox might get it done. Maybe Throw Randle in there and try to get Otto Porter back too.

I’m a big believer in “change of scenery” trades, since I’ve seen them work enough times to believe there is a psychological benefit to a struggling player to get a fresh start on a new team. That being said, I’m ok with us looking for those types of players around the league (e.g. Mo Bamba, Markannen)

I wouldn't give up a huge amount to get him, but Lauri does seem like a perfect compliment to Mitch. Mitch covers for Lauri's defensive holes, Lauri spreads the floor for Mitch's rim running and Mitch's gravity gets Lauri room to fire off. It's a downgrade from what KP/Mitch woulda been but a lot of the same reasons that combo was so exciting definitely still hold with Markkanen. Then again...you could always keep the assets and look for those qualities in a free agent. Davis Bertans might keep being slept on and he's an impending FA.

That's exactly how I was looking at it :myman:

I’d do it, Randle and a second round pick:yeshrug:

last season Markannen looked poised to be better than KP so I wouldn’t mind taking the risk for him

Wouldn’t give up a lot of assets for him, but if it panned out, he’d be a great fit next to Mitch

As SOON as cats are trade eligible I need to see this front office show some level of competency and get rid of these bad fit cats like Ju and Marcus Morris. Hell anyone that a contender may value that we can get back ACTUAL quality assets on would be huge. I'm not against that idea of kicking the tires on trading for Markannen while his value is hurting to try and build him back up as discount KP.

shyt and find some kind of way to get the solid cats from Westchester up to the main roster. Wooten, Kadeem and Iggy need to be getting burn so we can see what these dudes can really do against high level comp. This is why I hated overloading on nikkas like Ellington, bullock, etc. We got young nikkas that need to be moved into those spots.

I wasn't initially high on LaMelo at first but he's rising as a prospect to me and Edwards and Cole are falling as prospects
Wiseman hasn't played enough be he still has a chance to go #1

I can see him ending up in the top 3 if he keeps improving and playing like this

Where the "Fiz is a good coach" guys at? After the loss, listening to two or three straight podcasts that echo my views so soundly that you would think that I got my talking points from them, and arguing with nikkas about last night's episode of The Watchmen, I'm ready to thump some heads

:stopitslime:
I'm a Fiz is a good coach, guy.

And, I'm not afraid to admit I don't know which way is up anymore.
