I don't know why Coli posters do this. Make a projection for a player's entire career on such a small sample sizeRobinson has no ball skills and fouls way too much. Ntilikina also fouls way too much and is too inconsistent on the offensive end. It's cool they're high level defensive pieces but right now I don't feel good.
The hope is Mitchell can be a vertical spacing rim protector in the mold of Gobert and Ntilikina can become a Marcus Smart type glue guy.
Barrett was once projected as the top pick in the draft but his stock has dropped some since his high school days. He's definitely tough, definitely solid, depending on certain variables can be a guy who makes some All-Star teams. But he's not a franchise player level talent lacks elite athleticism and elite ball skills, he's just solid at both.
Kevin Knox definitely sucks and you can find guys like Dotson and Trier.
Gobert and Smart are ceilings. If they can become that I'd be happy as shyt.Using current flaws to solely determine potential is a mistake. Mitch's foul rate is something that can be controlled as we saw late last season. Frank is averaging 4.9 fouls per 48...he doesn't have a foul problem. His consistency on offense is the ONLY thing that's a real problem, and even that isn't hopeless. I'm wondering if you believe Gobert and Smart are the ceilings or just a hope that they can at least get there. Either way, those are two very good players who are contributed on a winning team. Nothing to sneeze at.
Your criticism of RJ is definitely fair...but again, he is a rookie and you're pointing out his flaws and ignoring his positives. Are you saying that after 20 or so games you have no belief in RJ's ability to ascend
I'm willing to defer on your opinions of Knox, Dotson and Trier. I'll just note we've said the same things about past Knicks who ended up rotation players on good, great, and Championship teams

I told you R.J. was a dog, I like him a lot.I don't know why Coli posters do this. Make a projection for a player's entire career on such a small sample size
It's kind of hard to tell how good RJ is early on because the offense doesn't even run through him
It runs through butter fingers Randle
But we're going to act like RJ can't improve drastically?
I'll remember this in 3-5 years if RJ becomes a superstar
If he doesn't, perennial all star is a good floor
We'll see. I disagree I think he's highly skilledI told you R.J. was a dog, I like him a lot.
I'm just telling you how I feel about him post was my thoughts on the core at the moment subject to change of course he isn't a great athlete and he isn't super skilled. He's a solid athlete, with solid ball skills, solid I.Q., and a high motor. I think he'll definitely be a real good player but I wouldn't call him a transcendent superstar level talent in this moment.
