That has nothing to do with what I said. Nobody counts blown assists. And if you do be consistent and count it for everyone. If you're going to point out how much better someone's stat line would have been if other players made the field goals then that should apply to everyone. How many more assist would Payton have if everyone made their shots right? Or RJ? Did you count those up?

This type of thought process is idiotic. We don't deal with what if. We deal with what we're actually seeing.

And he had his chance. He started with Randlell and Morris. What's the excuse for that now? Stop making excuses for this dude already. He has shown Improvement. Just be happy with that. No need to try to manufacture some some shyt out your ass.

lmao, this is literally me dealing with what we're actually seeing. Frank made passes to open players who did not convert enough times that it actually stood out. This didn't happen to Payton nearly as often because when he hit the open players, they converted the shots. Randle and Morris rarely make those kinds of plays and when RJ makes good passes, I talk about it. RJ went 2/8 and 2/4 from the free throw line but I contextualized the bad numbers and complimented him. Knox went 2/8 but I gave him props for trying different things. I point out quality play and contextualize the numbers all the time. It's rarely a problem when I do that for other guys though...

Here's an example of the problem for our losses with 3 vets.



Now imagine having 3 guys playing like Melo while shutting out the offense and stat padding for 2 points while not defending the 3 on the opposite side of the court.

RJ drives and establishes the extra point. Knox spaces on the perimeter for the 3. Frankie sets up pick and rolls. Mitch follows through off misses. But you have 3 bully ball vets logjamming in the post, night in and night out.

This exposes Randle because while he may occasionally get points, he has T Rex arms and can't defend on the other side. Morris is the best defender of the 3 and has a higher shooting percentage. Guys like Portis and Randle only play well when their shots are hitting from the perimeter and when Frank is playing. I guarantee you that Bullock, Knox and Morris can outperform in those roles.

melo posting up a smaller player in the post to get 2 points is not a negative thing. regardless of what happens on the other end of the floor. common sense is lost in todays game

If you're smart enough to agree with @RickyGQ that not all assists are made the same than you should recognize that sometimes guys make good passes and sometimes they make bad passes. I pointed out that Frank made a lot of good passes. Nothing more, nothing less. You feeling the need to get at me because you disagree is fine, but save the shyt talk. You don't agree, that's cool. But get out your damned emotions over a fukkin' basketball blog . Click my sig and look at my breakdowns of Payton and Randle recently. They've mostly been positive reviews. Those two didn't bring the right effort last game, so I got at them.

You're literally freaking out because I said Frank made some really nice passes on a night where his unit couldn't hit shots. You're claiming I give Frank special treatment like Knox didn't get HAMMERED for that game by damn near everyone but me. Had dudes making Shanghai Sharks jokes. But I broke down his performance as promising. You don't have a problem with that one though. That doesn't mean you're rooting for Frank to fail, it just means you're fukking biased to go at me for looking beyond the box score with one young guy and completely ignore it in every other instance.

Payton's been the more consistent PG. Frank was better than him last game imo . It's not that complicated.

Payton's shooting is horrendous. Teams are daring him to shoot wide open looks. He's either passing on those shots or bricking them completely.
