For those who don't know the difference between Wiseman and Mitch, and who think Wiseman is just a rim runner, check out this clip

Not saying I agree that he and Mitch are equals but wasn't Mitch doing the same shyt in HS? Mitch has shown a nice stroke when he shoots it. And this guy wasn't putting the ball on the floor a ton either in this clip. Or shooting that often from deep.

Mitch was shooting wide open jumpers though
Not step backs or going into the post like that
If the Knicks don't get Wiseman, the other prospects are good as well
A PG like Ball can unlock Mitch
I'd still give Mitch another 2-3 years to develop
But if Wiseman is available and is also the bpa, you have to take him even w/ Mitch and all
Mitch is a beast and he has the potential to be an unbelievable defensive player and vertical spacer
The only thing I think holding Mitch back is his bball iq which is directly correlated to his foul trouble
If he still looks the same in year 3, then that might mean his bball iq is not high enough to improve

I don't know man. This is high school comp in this video. I'm sure Mitch had a lot more freedom to do more in HS as well. HS highlight tapes don't translate well to the pros. I was hoping this video could sell me on picking him if we have the chance. But I don't see anything in this clip beyond Mitch's skill set against this level of comp. He could absolutely hit step back 3's and go in the paint against these guys. The NBA tho? :francis: I didn't see anything that makes me think Wiseman could pull off these same moves against NBA size, speed, and strength. At this point I still say our most desperate need is PG.

Just want to :salute: yall for staying up on this team. I just havent been able to do it :wow:

Man listen. I've never been more uninterested in the Knicks than I am now. I pop in here occasionally but I dont think this thread is even doing the same numbers it has in years past. I popped in during the game the other night and it had only grown maybe 2 pages. A travesty on game nights up til this season. I used to like to read @storyteller 's breakdowns but now I dont even give a fukk. No diss to him. Them shyts are good. But I don't want read about the same mistakes and failures all the time. I'm not even motivated to watch Nothin but Knicks or Knicks FanTV on youtube anymore. Same frustrated fans. Same frustrated comments.

Markkanen would be a perfect fit in NY, the Knicks would be smart to buy low on him. It'd be a dream come true if the Knicks could swap Randle with him somehow, the basketball gods need to look out for once.

Frank is better as a backup as long as it's a good point guard.

Yeah, I've got no problem drafting another PG with more offensive upside. But I want to keep Frank and see if he keeps developing. Kid's still 21 and he made visible improvements from last season to this one. Keep him and see if he keeps taking steps forward. At this rate, he'll be cheap to re-sign and still have upside.
