You have some valid points here. However, RJ has vastly improved on his perimeter shooting over the last few games and as a rookie, that's good.
Frankie has not been shooting good but he's been getting people open with some good opportunities. The problem is that those guys can't shoot so when you pair him with shytty people like Randle or Portis, it makes him look bad in assist.
There are games where he has shot at 50% and looked good but being overshadowed by Payton as stunted his growth. This also applies to Knox.
Some of us are not saying that the rookies are good but to let them play and find their rhythm. The reason why the Pelicans rookies look impressive is because they have been playing minutes all season starting off with a record as bad as the Knicks.
These vets are fukking trash and turnover prone outside of Morris and Bullock. I said it in another thread before I was negged by
@KnickstapeCity that Alvin Gentry would've been a great coach for this team from seeing him coach the suns. He would've benched Randle and screamed at him for the dumb shyt he does.
The only way that these rookies will ever get better is if a Popovich type coach smacks the shyt outta Mills and tells him no to giving these vets minutes or if a CP3 type star tells FO, I will not play with a lineup of vets, otherwise we're fukked.
exactly
people complaining about the young kids but they have to be put in the position to succeed in the first place
1. How do you put RJ in a position to succeed?
You know RJ is ball dominant and needs the ball to be effective
I cannot count how many games where it looked like RJ was bound to go off for 30+, and the vets freeze him out trying to take the shine
Tell me that doesn't have an effect on the rookie?
You also surround him w/ a bunch of selfish, low IQ, non defense playing non shooters
Yet you guys turn around and wonder why he is struggling?

"Why can't RJ put up 17 in 3 mins like Zion?"

Maybe if the vets kept feeding him the ball when he is hot, he could have a big scoring game

and increase his confidence so he can build on it for his development
2. How do you put Knox in a position to succeed?
Knox attacked more last season and had that little floater going
It's nowhere to be seen now
He is a spot up shooter now
Run some plays for him if he is not good at creating his own shot right now
They should be running curls, cuts, and off ball screens for him to get free all game
How can he get a rhythm when he is playing spot minutes behind Morris who does nothing for their playoff chances?

"Knox is a bust so fukk him

Yeah watch him get traded and explode on a team that knows how to use and develop young players properly
3. How do you put Frank in a position to succeed?
Frank might not be a starting PG but he can play an important role off the bench
Every team needs a guy like Frank who doesn't fill up the box score but impacts the game
4. Then you have Trier, Mitch, etc.
Mitch has a lot of potential but it seems no one is developing him at all
He makes the same mistakes as last year
And Trier? Trier doesn't play
