nikka, I am rooting for Knox so bad.

But, he was fundamentally terrible. Not bad in a "play through it till it clicks" way...

Bad in a "this is NOT NBA basketball" way. He needs in practice individualized help. His presence on the court at the same time as RJ and Mitch does more harm to THEIR development than Randle and Morris minutes.

Those kids NEED as much "this is what it's like playing alongside satisfactory players" time as possible.
This is why I was for keeping Marcus Morris. This is why I was for a D'Angelo Russell trade. This is why I wanted to trade for Chris Paul.

Y'all wanna let the "kids" play though.

This team badly needs talent. They need skilled, complimentary pieces.

It's posters who basically want a Frank, Barrett, Knox, Iggy, Mitch line-up all playing 35 minutes a game. It doesn't work like that. No team is doing some shyt like that.

Y'all keep on bringing up Memphis when they have two stud prospects in Ja and JJJ and an older prospect in Dillon Brooks who played multiple years at Oregon and is already 24. Brandon Clarke a 4 year man already 23. They've also had vets Valanciunas, Kyle Anderson, Jae Crowder stabilizing shyt.

Crowder is on the heat now.

what direction do you think they should take free agency, trade for veterans etc or put more time into developing the youth. Whether it be through the nba or g-league?

I rather see 20+ Minutes of Knox sorry ass than Bobby Portis

The next regime needs to cut ties with the mess Perry/Mills created.

My suggestion is to build around Barrett, Mitchell, and our pick with smart complimentary veteran signings. In my opinion Ntilikina and Knox are lost causes but they have one more offseason to show and prove. I don't know who our pick is going to be so it's hard to say. I just know Mitch needs a stretch/small ball 4 next to him Ibaka, Gallinari, Gay, Morris twins, Bertans, Crowder, etc. are all options. We need a point guard both LaMelo and Edwards can play on and off ball maybe we can target a Fred VanVleet or a veteran like D.J. Augustin. This is a medicore free agent class and draft class. It's a lot of guys we need to get rid of team is a mess.

They told him no mid range shots and took ball out of that man's hands to turn him into a spot up shooter, he should be frustrated his talent is going to waste there. He really might take a QO and walk on some "Boylen or me" type shyt. The Bulls are looking like we did a couple of years ago smh. Buy low on Lauri if they trade him, he can turn into an all-star in the right situation.

Mook and Russell aren’t skilled complimentary pieces. They’re “I think I’m a a star and should be treated as such” pieces. The Grizz are a good model. They have 2 vets surrounded by the young guys. For us that should be Payton and Randle, with a sprinkle of Bullock and Taj.

I'd keep Barrett, maybe Robinson and that's about it. Hopefully Knicks make better decisions in drafts moving forward. When Michael Porter Jr slipped I really thought they should have taken the risk on him but I realize now that the front office was too scared about getting fired to gamble.

What exactly makes you feel that Mook thinks he's a star and should be treated as such? He deserved the touches he got and the authority to take the shots he did because dude balled his ass off here.

If he was hurting the team or being inefficient I would have called it out but he didn't he's averaging about 20 points on an efficient 58% TS. In reality he should have been our stretch 4 playing next to Robinson but Perry/Mills signed Randle like idiots. Morris is a skilled complimentary piece he's exactly what we needed out of a PF. Before coming to the Knicks, Morris was playing a role on playoff bound Boston and Detroit teams. Now, he's going to the Clippers and he'll take a step back there as well.

D'Angelo sees himself as a young star that's how he's viewed throughout the league. It's nothing wrong with that. His range and playmaking would only open up the floor for everyone else and further development, he is a skilled complimentary piece.

We don't have Ja and we don't have JJJ, we have R.J. Barrett who isn't as good as those guys, and then we have a raw foul prone Mitchell Robinson, and two guys who don't even look like they belong on an NBA floor in select nights with Ntilikina and Knox.

Payton and Randle shouldn't even on this team. They both hurt the team. They are unskilled and are not complimentary to the players on the roster. :scust:

RJ watching Mook take mid range jumpers all game while he stands in the corner doesn’t make him better or give him the practice/experience at being a cornerstone of this team.

I thought he would be gone at the deadline:francis:
Hopefully Morris getting traded was a wake up call
All these signings do is come here to stat pad and yes they all limit RJ's and Mitch's growth
I'm glad more and more people are seeing how RJ being stuck in the corner is ruining his development
Mitch will be a stud and is putting up similar numbers to Gobert in his 2nd season
All young players go through stretches where they struggle and give you doubt but like I said I know for certain as soon as the Knicks release any of these guys they will look great on a team with an organization that knows what they are doing
