Of course Payton has no issue with it:mjlol:

same ol knicks

Bruh, this is the same thing we've been preaching. Is this real? If they knew this, why didn't they bench him and Payton?

If this nikka scrambles does one more spin move

add to this that this

And I think they are going to prioritize moving Randle. He’s not an outright albatross, he just doesn’t fit the rest of the roster as constructed.

There are worst expiring contracts out there, and some teams might grab him to fill a bit of space temporarily so they can use the MLE and resign players. The wolves especially need that because they want to keep Malik (who we could also target).

The combination of just a few teams even having space and potential luxury tax implications on the decrease is what has me most intrigued about where we go from here...

Of course, a cap decrease could indirectly benefit the Knicks as well. It would, in theory, leave more teams on the hook for paying the luxury tax. If owners of those teams don't want to pay the tax, they would be forced to shed salary. The Knicks could use their cap space to take on undesired salary from one of those teams while also acquiring an asset with value (a talented young player or draft pick).

It depends on they work out all of these salary cap and revenue changes but it's conceivable that teams will find themselves either at the luxury tax or closer than they had planned for. That could mean some unforeseen opportunities pop up.
