It's Rashad Phillips so do with this what you will.

RJ Hampton is an intriguing prospect for sure. I wouldn't pick him at 6, but if we were at 9 or 10 and the draft board fell a certain way (Haliburton and Killian gone) then he could be in the conversation. That said he's more in the mold of tweener than "guy I want running my offense" so far. He's got a ton of promise though and I have a lot of interest in what an offense might look like where three different players can attack as both scorer or playmaker (it's why I'm high on Deni as a good option).

The other thing about Hampton is if the rumor's true, I think the "trade for vet PG" stuff gains more legs. RJ's not running an offense right now and playmaking has been mentioned as a point of focus. I'd be looking at the Rozier and CP3 rumor fronts more closely if names like Hampton and Deni start to gain traction over the Hayes and Haliburtons of the world.

On that Mac clip, I'm less concerned with Dolan being a good guy and more happy to hear someone say that he has guys looking at near max second contracts who really do want to play for the Knicks. It feeds into the whole "chasing a savior" narrative, but it's still nice to see someone counter the idea that no one wants to play for the Knicks.

Hurts to say, but I don't buy that to be honest. Based on the timeline he's giving, that sounds like Frank's draft. Outside of Donovan Mitchell, who's in that draft class that's really fighting to be a Knick?

That was a pretty weak draft overall. Tatum, Mitchell and Fox will definitely be kept/paid by their teams.

My money would be Kuzma and maybe Lauri. Neither deserves it unless they improve, so if they wanted the cash they would need a sucker like Dolan.

I think the key is that he didn't say they'd actually switch teams, just that they'd do almost anything to bounce. My mind immediately went to Fox. The timeline's right, the Kings are on the outside looking in again and there's the built-in Perry connection. Lauri could fit the bill too though since he clearly wants out.

Someone on twitter came up with a more plausible variation of my Randle to Twolves trade that intrigued me... Julius and 27 for James Johnson and 16. I wouldn’t be mad at that at all. Puts us in Kira Lewis range.

RJ was in my top 5 at the start of the season... he was one of the top prospects coming out of high school and hopefully his high school season is more indicative of his career than his season in Australia. He’d be a steal at 16.

i legit can’t wait for this draft tho. Every mock I’m reading is legit all over the place. Everyone seems to agree on the top 15 guys, but the variations in where they’re going is so wild from mock to mock.

Finally, i hope the knicks brehs/brehettes are staying safe and healthy throughout all the madness.

:pacspit:
Scum of the fukking earth
Yea dude is probably angling for a front office job. I would love to find out what happened between him and Mitch.... (it’s most likely that AD got into Mitchs ear and made him want to sign with Klutch. AD is his idol)

Only worth a late first round, if that. He’s absolutely not Oladipo, Steph Curry or Westbrook as Rashad Phillips said.

He’s also the same guy who said Josh Jackson was better than Luka :mjlol:Knicks need to steer clear
