:scust: Those are disgusting takes from Rashad Philips.

Someone on twitter came up with a more plausible variation of my Randle to Twolves trade that intrigued me... Julius and 27 for James Johnson and 16. I wouldn’t be mad at that at all. Puts us in Kira Lewis range.

RJ was in my top 5 at the start of the season... he was one of the top prospects coming out of high school and hopefully his high school season is more indicative of his career than his season in Australia. He’d be a steal at 16.

i legit can’t wait for this draft tho. Every mock I’m reading is legit all over the place. Everyone seems to agree on the top 15 guys, but the variations in where they’re going is so wild from mock to mock.

Finally, i hope the knicks brehs/brehettes are staying safe and healthy throughout all the madness.

I do think 16 and 17 will be up for grabs

In his defense, a lot of people were wrong on Young. Myself included. And shyt was looking SHAKY after summer league.
:hubie: Short shifty nikka with 30 foot range and a cold floater and beasty court vision

Damn near 30/10 as a freshman and single handily carrying an offense sometimes you can’t think about it too hard

Y’all lost :hubie:

I just made Melo a champion in 2K and I'm not gonna lie, feel kind of emotional about it.

Restarted my GM league and made some similar movss from last time, but went all in for Donovan Mitchell to partner with CP3. Got them both, traded for Melo, along with Joe Harris and Andre Roberson, to run with Mitch and RJ. I was focused on the following year to add AD but then Melo said he was retiring after the season and I was tight. This team fukked around and went 70-12 and won a championship. I can still get AD and I got a top 3 pick from the Wizards after a trade too.

Holler at me Leon.

Your 2020-2021 Knicks' Starting Lineup

:ehh:

I endorse this plan for the New York Knicks. I think we’re 1 year away from being set to “compete” with the youth. Plus a strong 2021 draft and 2021 FA, plus a deep 2022 draft. This is a good time to not overreact for once.

I’m going to start posting draftee videos too. I really like Haliburton for the knicks.

Haliburton is my next guy after Hayes for PG. Edwards -> LaMelo -> Hayes -> Haliburton -> Lewis -> Cole (this is based more on fit though as I still think he can be a really good pro plus he had to deal with Knicks level spacing at times).

I could see getting greedy if we can trade up and position ourselves to grab Lewis in the mid-round though. Toppin or Deni would be great gets if one slipped to 6,7,8 and that were our landing spot.

I've seen some breakdowns that made me more nervous about signing Wood than before. I'm not opposed, but it's not a top priority for me any more. I'd be cool grabbing Bertans for spacing and exploring the trade options that our cap space and fiscal uncertainty opens up before I commit to Wood. I'm completely down to head into next season with a roster that's built for our lottery pick, RJ and Mitch to be the feature guys. It probably means another lottery year but next year's class plus this year's FA class being weak turns that into an option that might make the most sense long term anyway.

I like Haliburton cause his stats are ridiculously efficient. I like Hayes too though and can see his value as a pick. His game is Harden’ish. LaMelo is definitely number #1 pg this draft. He does stuff that reminds me of Penny.

I am more Bullish on Deni than Obi. I think both could be great pro’s but Obi is PF with defensive issues long term seems like a iffy investments. He not a good defender at all.

I definitely think the knicks could move up to right outside the lottery in this years draft. Everything about this draft says people are going to try and trade out and talent will be up and down the order.I could see the Celtics pick 17 is gettable with the Mavs 2023 pick (if we wanted), I also could see the Wolves trading 16 and James Johnson because they need cap space.

The only real question is should they use assets to move up in a weaker draft. Next year’s draft is so stacked in the lottery it might be worth it to combine our pick and all the Mavs picks to move up a few spots. I am seeing mocks that have Mannion, Ramsey, and Lewis there at 27 this year too.

Share the breakdowns on Woods. I know he isn’t a great defender of stretch PF’s but I assumed his game was solid beyond that. I figure his own three pt shot and size would actually force most teams to adapt to him.

I like Deni and Obi both mainly because I think they're low floor, good fit players. Obi's offensive upside and athleticism pairs with Mitch's defensive upside and athleticism for what could potentially be a monster of a front court to guard. Deni's all around game, IQ and high level passing make him a sure thing to be valuable and would pair really well with RJ's ability to create and attack for a great combo on the wings that has a ton of size. You combine those guys with the fact that I think trading up into the late teens or low twenties is realistic and that Lewis/Maledon are both dropping to that range in mock drafts...You could tempt me to pass on Haliburton if one of Deni or Obi is available while Ball/Killian aren't.

But that's also the one thing about this draft...I see a lot of players that intrigue me and who I'd be happy to land. We have a lot of flexibility, to go BPA or target the highest upside fit.

Below is a piece on Wood that gave me a bit of pause and that's doubly because I saw it catch some co-signs from heads that I typically give weight to their opinions. I don't think a Randle comparison is fair (advanced stats make that much clear) but in terms of his floor stretching ability being a question mark and his fit with Mitch not being perfect, I understand the wariness.

Wood You Do It?

I'm not saying I'd hate taking that shot though. Just that I'd rather take the shot on Obi being that kind of 4 while on a rookie pay scale and preserving the cap flexibility for more of a sure thing.
