The more I think about it the more FVV makes sense. Plus Horford, too. Get talent from the other teams in the division. Then try to add really good talent this draft and the next.

Don't put Felton in that discussion...dude was a below average shooter. Jose shot great for us so he gets the nod 41% shooting from 3 in the 14 & 15

I knew José was better but I didn't feel like looking to see if Felt was better than Frank, Mudiay, Trey, Sessions, Jack and Gallo:lolbron:

54 games of '11 Felton, post ACL tears D-Rose, 40 year old Jason Kidd, 35 games of Jeremy Lin, Trey.I.'s run is the most dynamic guard play we've had this decade.

VanVleet would be our best overall PG since Marbury.

Jose Calderon is p*ssy :shaq2:

Disrespectful. '11 and '13 Felton was solid.

Calderon :mindblown:

nikka I'm talking bout strictly shooting 3s, I hated Calderon :hhh:

Every pg we had since then except maybe Trey-I even though he was inconsistent, couldnt shoot for shyt.

Ohh true I misread.

shyt I'd probably go with Burke his midrange was elite and he could C&S from 3, Jose was too p*ssy.

In theory it be possible for the Knicks to absorb Horford and Oubre, and sign FVV to a 24 Mil deal, but they would have to cut all the other free agents (including Dotson) and send Randle out for Horford.

So basically if we scrapped the roster down to RJ, Frank, Mitch, Knox, DSJ, Braz, plus 8 Mill for two top ten rookies (Knicks, and Suns picks)

They could maybe resign Taj or Dotson to the MLE of 4.5 (or go after someone else)

That’s not a playoff team.... but it would be really interesting. Oubre would come off the book and next year is supposed to be an amazing year for Wings.

FVV/ Frank/ DSJ
RJ / Vassell
Oubre / Knox
Horford/ Patrick Williams / Braz
Mitch / Taj

Also not for nothing

pick #21 (Philly) and #27 (Clips) should be enough to move back into the top #10 this year.

i dont trust our drafting ability
im all for spending money on a player if it makes sense

I feel you fam but the good news is there's a whole new crew around that includes some guys I think could really help out with draft decisions. Walt Perrin's the big one, he gets a lot of love for being behind the Gobert and Mitchell picks. He's credited as the reason Utah traded up for him.

The other one I think is underrated but Kenny Payne. I know he's in a coaching role but the dude was the top assistant at a top tier program, he probably knows a lot about a lot of these players.

Then add to the mix that Johnnie Bryant is the top assistant now. Perrin got the Jazz to trade up for Mitchell and Bryant is the guy who gets a lot of credit for Donovan's development. Hopefully that chemistry and familiarity is helpful.

I feel your skepticism. Rose and co. need to show and prove. We've seen enough coaches from all over the spectrum of well known to rookies, all fail...same with GM's and Presidents. But I do think that crew described above looks promising. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Calderon was such a p*ssy. Dude cared more about his shooting percentages than making buckets. Overrated ass shooter :mjlol:

As a starter...?
just worried about cap space when real game changers become available
I understand, but the Knicks paying FVV 22, maybe Mitch 12-15, and RJ at 9 mil... We're still looking at less than 50 mil in the cap excluding the 8th pick and any free agents. Knicks just gotta be under the cap by the end of next season to be in the game for top free agents. None of those contacts are gonna be hard to move if you need to move them for a generational player

:scusthov: I'd rather bring Horford off the bench
