What in the entire fukk?
Soulja Boy > Sugarhill Gang and Kurtis Blow as far as rapping ability goes.
This is a fact.
Everyone should respect people that paved the way but the line has to be drawn somewhere. When dudes say shyt like : "Ooooh better watch out for KRS-1, he'll end your career!"I mean, word? Do motherfukkers really believe that? T.I. will smash him on the mic and then punch him in his big ass nose but post that on a message board somewhere and it's blasphemy.
So you're really telling me that Rakim is nicer on the mic than Big Sean? Why? Just because he raps about spiritual and lyrical-diabolical-malignant-cancerous-westerners?Get the fukk out of here.
My god is this dude a stupid motherfukker. And @OGKush and @blackslash
Ppl really disrespecting Melle Mel?Do young people even realize that "The Message" is probably the most important rap song ever made?? I mean it singlehandedly transformed the way other MCs rapped. Before that rap didn't really tread on social messages...of course the delivery/flow sounds dated but if u just strip the lyrics of that song what they're saying is incredible. And big Sean better than Rakim???????? Big Sean himself would slap u for saying that... U do realize any rapper that is considered lyrical, for instance TI as u mentioned, is literally in some way shape or form a son of Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, Slick Rick, etc right?
IMO jay-z is one of the most influential rappers of all time n he wouldn't be who he is without Big Daddy Kane...he's basically the guys reincarnation (he also learned from BIG, who is also heavily influenced by Kane) ...Oh u think Kendrick is dope? He uses a multi syllable /lyrical style that he probably was inspired by dudes like Eminem (since he's around my age) who in turn learned what he knows from Kool G Rap/Rakim/Kane. Are u following this? I'm not some old head , I'm 25 n like u when I was in high school I thought the same thing about 80s rappers, until I actually listened to them n realized I was completely wrong. Have u ever even listened to any of these "old school" rappers ur bashing? I'm not trying to come down on u but if u only know TI, Jeezy, Rick Ross shyt ( I like this stuff too I'm not hatin) ur severely limiting urself and should really broaden ur horizons. I don't judge new rap without listening to it n u shouldn't judge music u never took the time to listen to.
Blah Blah Blah...everything I said is true. I never disrespected anyone and I acknowledged their importance. Doesn't change the fact that by today's standards - they are gawwwwbage.![]()
My god is this dude a stupid motherfukker. And @OGKush and @blackslash are two dim-witted fakkit cumdumpsters for co-signing this retard.
You're a fukking idiot for thinking that Soulja Boy, the guy that pretty much steals other rappers souls on a regular basis, can make as good music as the two pioneers that you've mentioned.
Really, the guy that made "Crank Dat" and can barely rhyme better than Kurtis Blow and SugarHill? fukkk you and the slore mother that let your dumbass near a computer to post this bullshyt.
No it's fukking not you buffoon.
Lyrically KRS-1 could easily hold his own against TI. It's not like TI is some lyrical wizard himself. have you ever heard any of KRS's recent stuff? He's actually good.
Rakim is nicer than Sean because he is a much more technically advanced MC than Sean is. He has a better flow than Sean has. Sean is one of the most overrated and mediocre rappers that I've ever heard. He spits some of the most simplest bars ever and is overall a generic hack.
Big Sean himself would smack you for trying to throw Rakim under the bus because Rakim is in the top 10 of Big Sean's Top 10.
I mean, this isn't even a generational thing, people were saying that Nas had surpassed Rakim in the 90s. There are rappers out there, even now that I think have built on the legends did and went further. So you can shut the fukk up about people not admitting that there are good rappers that have surpasses those that came before them.
But the buck stops when butthurt idiots start throwing legends under the bus in favor of garbage-a$$ rappers like Big Sean and Soulja, reason being that their the new generation of rappers, and hence they're supposedly better when that isn't even true.
Your post would've made more sense if you actually cited some good rappers that are out now that are trying to take the artform to another level, like some of those TDE dudes, or Blu. Because on the flip side new rappers shouldn't be thrown under the bus in favor of the older ones, for the sake of them being older either.
But your parallels were terrible, and only goes to show that you're just some idiot trying to make shock posts. Pretty much hot Basura.
Just log off, and never talk about rap again you piece of sh1t.
My dude stop mentioning my name as if you have any grounds to go toe to toe with me when it comes to the analysis of rap
You know nothing..and where did I co-sign?
Only thing I questioned is how can anyone say Ice-T is better than Drake
SOmeone alrdy said Drake basically built on the foundations given from older artist..with which he's become better than him
Now Ima need you to stop saying my name..cuz all u do is go around spewing stupid baseless insults that have to do nothing with my arguments because you know damn well u cant step to me.
All u are is an illogical Nas/underdog stan who knows nothing and cant and will never be able to challenge me when it comes to the analysis of rap

Who's garbage by today's standards?
fukkk you a$$hole. You only know Jay's quotables.
My bad...I'll take the L for this one.
Man got to hell, I've stepped to you more than once before lol. You ain't no rap dictionary.
Why do you go back to humming with Jay's balls in your mouth.![]()
What y'all fail to realize is that without people like Ice-T paving the way, there wouldn't be a fukking Drake![]()
Pick all of the old school names out of your post. I'm not looking through that nonsense.![]()
