Big had 92-94 Pac had 95-96 Big came back in 97....But as artist if we talking labels Bad Boy had the game on lock the whole time...
Lol..,where? Bad boy in 92-94? Nah, death row had that, sorry. Flavor in ya ear was huge, but bad boy didn't really gear up until 94 and had 95-00 as its peak.

This thread funny as fukk lowkey, the only types of threads where being 29 gets you shat on for being "young", go to any other thread on this board and you should be ready for a senior home at 25 :old:

Juicy hit
Big poppa was huge and the common denominator to this whole shyt is biggie. Biggie ran hiphop in 95'

Juicy and Big Poppa was moderate hits, but it still wasn't bigger than Flavor in Your Ear. If you want to know what was the single that catapulted him to Platinum it was One More Chance Remix. That's like saying Wu-tang's Method Man single, Da Mystery Art of Chessboxing were hits and negate how huge C.R.E.A.M. was.

And I said already that Biggie by DEFAULT had '95 over 2pac due to Pac being in prison... but that does not mean he ruled the rap game then. There was so MANY OTHERS running it from both coasts to even say he was that dude at the time, especially when he didn't release an album that year. He gave his own peoples shine with the Junior Mafia album which has moderate success of going gold. But in the BIGGER picture of 1995, Bad Boy more than anything was running it, it just so happens that Biggie is the face of that.

And bare this in mind as well, the NATION at that time was STILL more WEST COAST inclined at the time where the East was just RETURNING to the stature that they once had, and you CAN give Biggie some props in being part of that return... but lets keep it real. Wu-Tang was running shyt the most in '95, Bad Boy had the hit singles, Coolio was the biggest artist and the west coast as a whole was still the dominant coast. It's not like how it is TODAY where you have DRAKE running hip hop and it's from everywhere and not just in T.Dot. You got to put context and perspective to this... and I'm a SUPER OLD head that remembers 1995 vividly and traveled all over the nation knowing how it was everywhere.

Cincinnati ohio.
He was only popping on a word of mouth street level

People ain't knowing how huge word of mouth was back in those days.. C-Bo, Brotha Lynch Hung, Mac Mall, and A LOT of Bay Area/North Cali (I know both C-Bo and Brotha Lynch as from Sac) were getting play throughout hoods nationwide. This was how Master P came up as well while living in Richmond, CA.

You can TELL who's the one that really LIVED '95... and those who were either too young or not alive in '95.

I can tell by how you post, you really believe the shyt you're saying but you're wrong.
Biggie was plat before One more chance even dropped.
You're gonna sit here and type such bullshyt like they were moderate hits. nikka big poppa became a term like "ether" following that song.
Plenty of mf's were saying baby baaaaaaabyyyyyy for years off juicy. Cut it out

And the common denominator is biggie, like i said.
Yea pac being locked played a part as did snoop being on trial. But i dont even see why we're bringing that up. It's not like that = someone handing the keys to biggie. He just so happen to make and be apart of dope moments back to back to back making him the undisputed don of that year.
No artist on badboy had equivalent success to biggie. Biggie ran it.

And yes i know about what every one else was doing but overall biggie was ruling. He did the most and it's not even close.

nikka you can give wu props for being part of the help. But biggie was the don. Wu was small potatoes in comparison. LMAO at coolio being the biggest artist in 1995 over biggie. Based off what?
Coolio had gangsters paradise and too hot.
Biggie had big poppa, one more chance ,warning, total's can't you see, flavor in your ear remix, who shot ya,player's anthem, get money. nikka please

Had the highest first week sales for any debut (LATE 93)album till 50 broke the record.
Went quadruple plat in around 7 months.
Dropped a mini movie with double plat sound track to that. You lost your mind and HE was hot on the streets while killing it commercially at the SAME DAMN TIME
Nas wasn't shyt
