Why are people acting like there’s an epidemic in the NBA with players sitting out without a known injury? It’s literally just Embiid. Who else is sitting out for apparent rest/load management?

If the team feels that not playing Embiid gives them the best chance to win the title then so be it. Matter of fact every team can do the same thing, I don’t care.

But don’t complain when people like me stop watching and the ratings continue to drop.

Can’t have it both ways.

There is though. All of those superstars were sitting out random games, for little nicks and rest. Embiid may be the most blatant though.

Which ones? This thread is about Embiid sitting out the first game with no known new injury after playing a whole summer Olympics schedule. Who else is sitting so far?

So dame would give 100 million for a ring lol

Yeah right

Here’s the flaw in your argument. You claim that Embiid cares about the money more than the trophies, but that’s not true at all. If he didn’t give a damn about trophies or awards, he wouldn’t have strong armed his way onto Team USA , instead of playing for his home country of Cameroon. He did that, so he would have an easier path to getting a Gold medal. If he was about the money, he would’ve just played for Cameroon or he would’ve skipped the Olympics all together. We all saw how much that MVP award meant to him back in ‘23, when he won it over Jokic. He definitely cares about trophies and awards. Not everyone is all about the money. Embiid is a competitor (as much as we think of him as a bytch, or soft).

Dudes are in here playing themselves taking Embiid money. I’ll wait a few years for some random dude to pop in and sign a couple max deals when the money goes up.

Accept that it aint happenin with dude and either bring those expectations down or sell on him while he still has value.
The problem with this is, players of Embiid's caliber don't come around often. It's not practical for a franchise that's invested so much in him (and years in the process) to just throw it away on a whim of 'accepting' that it ain't happening with him. They have no choice but to ride him all the way.

How many players in Philly's history have been on Embiid's level?

You couldn't count them on one hand.

They're not the Lakers where they can just easily dispose of stars and replace them with new ones.
They been hoping he gets healthy and trying to protect him his whole career. We 11 years in now...is what it is at this point.
Regardless of it being "it is what it is", they still have to try.

NBA franchises don't operate like 2k, where you just hit the reset button and start MyPlayer again. Whilst Embiid is still able to play, they have to get the most out of that investment. Otherwise, they're just conceding they threw away 100s of millions and a decade, all for nothing. Back to square one where they get the #1 pick and draft the next Markelle Fultz or Ben Simmons.

Besides Embiid, look at the lottery picks they've drafted over the last decade:

Jahlil Okafor
Ben Simmons
Markelle Fultz.

You're basically saying they should abandon this shyt now to go back to re-runs of that.

All that's fine if you accept you ain't winning no chips like that like I said and move accordingly.

That 3 year extension doesn’t kick in until the 26-27 season. Grifted the sixers just like he’s been grifting these free throws
