I get the lifestyle but I have people who I call brothers who will die for me, or at the very least, die with me. Most people can never say the same about a frat brother.

And I agree I have a real brother and none of my frat will ever be closer to me than him, but I also made some life long friends through pledging. To be honest if u do pledge your not gonna be friends with every member of your chapter, it doesn't work that way. You mainly carry on that life long bond with your line brothers

That is completely untrue.To the contrary, many are very well respected because they are more driven to do work for the fraternity regarding service work and such. And this is coming from someone who pledged undergrad. Perspectives change when you get older.

Maybe it's regional. I know females here in Atlanta basically talk shyt about grad pledges. Dudes are more coy but have the same thoughts. There are even articles about it defining the “diva dude” | VSB

If this was at Morehouse, chances are they were required to be in business attire. I know you have to dress in a shirt and tie for the freshman seminar classes and crown forum (like a seminar class for any classification student).

They preach a sense of professionalism heavily there.

No doubt. But in the 90's I'm not sure if that scene would have looked the same. Times have changed in general. Not saying it's good or bad, but it's just a different world.

What the black Greek stands for is cool. Some of these brothers really are about that black empowerment life, but a my university, them nikkas for the most part was a bunch of fukk nikkas who were trying to reinvent themselves to chase p*ssy.

That's the case for most of them who join. nikkas are lames who can't stand on their own as men.

I know. My pops was a Kappa and told me all about his experiences when I got to school because I was playing ball and all the Ques, Kappas Sigmas etc were coming to me. My old man told me the "fraternity" he is most proud of is the guys he played football with and ironically, are the ones that have done more for the community after college. Hell he's 60 and they are still doing things. He said his frat bruhs, not so much at all.

I just looked at how they were on my campus at USC and my experiences on all the Atlanta campuses I had been to hanging out. I mentioned before in other threads, I was all through Atlanta campuses and all the frat parties and events cause I already knew everybody and was someone everyone was trying to be cool with (for unrelated reasons). Thats not to say at all that im indicting them from having fun at functions that were meant to have fun. As I ultimately decline all the offers to pledge, I cant speak first hand on what goes on within that only brothers are privy to but I KNEW these guys and what type of dudes they were at most of the other Frats and my father spoke on it in specifics regarding Kappa Alpha Psi.

If it was just my old man and what I saw at SoCal since we both went there, I wouldnt come to this conclusion and think it was just isolated to the frats at Univ of Southern California but I witnessed the same shyt from the same type of dudes at Clark, Morehouse, Tech, GSU etc. It just wasn't my thing because they werent my type nikkas to honest. Too many clowns, try hards, fraud ass, suspects and a nikka like me wasnt getting hazed like how they were doing. I wasn't going cause I knew how they were hazing nikkas from the dudes that were doing the hazing. My boy is Nu Mu at Tech when I was in HS and I told him I would have killed him if he tried the shyt he had just told me he did to some pledges. He thought I was playing. I said "Bruh, you are like family to me but understand this....On everything that is holy and true, I would kill you if you tried me like that."

nikka, I know who they are. I see some of them nikkas way past their college years still barking and jumping around like chimps in public.

They need to sit the fukk down. nikkas love attention.

nikka, Skull & Bones CACs are power brokers in the world. When they get together, power moves result.

What type of shyt are nikkas in frats running other than their mouths and promotions for parties? All they can do, for the most part, is put in a good word for nikkas at companies run by CACs!

You'd think "brothers for life" would be creating economic opportunities left and right for Black people, building Black communities, etc. For the most part, frat nikkas are just jockeying for position in CAC-owned spaces.

Yeah, if you need "letters" to get ass, you're a lame. But so what. Half the dudes that don't have "letters" are lame anyway. Might as well be a lame that gets p*ssy.


Why try to work towards peaking at 30-35, when you are dealing with the leftover brauds, when you can peak at 20 within earshot of the top shelf chicks before the dating musical chairs game starts to get serious.

Cats complain that all the available chicks that are 8-10 on the looks scale have wack personalities, when the reality is a lot of the cool chill ones get snatched up by some "lame" Kappa in college.
