great post, while they were initially discriminated against for being fobby and perhaps Catholic, they were still white Europeans and by the 1940s they were assimilated into white America. I'm mostly of Irish descent, but I fukking hate when people try to act like the Irish had it anywhere near as bad as black people in the US.

Aye man. The population in Ireland in 1841 was 8.1 million, by 1911 it had fallen to 4.4 million due to british genocide. This gets glossed over in history class though, they just call it a "famine"

Cromwell set it up you could say by conquering Ireland and massacring towns and villages as he went but the famine took place in Victorian times.
