For those wondering about the process of this album, it was chronicled on The Coli here:

http://www.thecoli.com/threads/monster-wu-project-thread-cont.8787/

http://www.thecoli.com/threads/monster-wu-project-thread-cont.8787/best-posts

which, thanks to Funcrusher's cut/pasting them from to this site, there are posts from Cilvaringz from Wu-Corp that he since deleted that are saved on this board like this:

This album started as a pay per verse for guest-spots (including various verses he already had recorded for his Sophomore album which never came about, hence having the ODB vocals) then a compilation and then became a whole different animal when they tried to brand it as a proper Wu-Tang Clan album. And the reason so many on that board are pissed about it is he included them in the process, asked their opinions/feedback, updated them every step of the way and then told them no one's ever going to hear it.

The whole reason SoulController was able to post that tracklisting at the top of the "most daps" breakdown of that thread? Cilvaringz would update the board once a week with a new MC line-up from one of the tracks of the album. You can even see it in action at the beginning of the thread as people post the updates here.

So imagine years of being told by the person making it this album was being made with the fans in mind, asking for their input, playing them beats and snippets, doing a half year campaign of revealing track lineups for them and then telling them they can never hear it? That's why there's such venom towards him in general by most who were in the know throughout the making of this project.

Then you start this campaign where this is all about reclaiming music as "art" and how there's no value in music anymore and music should be revered and precious and rare and how this will bring back people taking music seriously.

And then you undermine that entire concept/sales pitch by selling it to the goddamn devil who uses it to collect beer sweat.
That tracklist looks too thourough...it literally has every wu affiliate and member on there (with the exception of Dom P, Trife Da God & Superb) :wow:

Looks like they fukking pit they asses out and went in for what is and probably will be the LAST wu-tang LP.

This looks like the album they should of released ages ago...it's sad it's come to this.

- RZA in Forbes

...and then using the scepter as a backscratcher.

- Forbes again

So lets sell it for $2 million and then watch it get devalued instantly by someone who doesn't even care to listen to it and has his boy use it as you would a 20 cent coaster.

- Forbes

No, after 5 years you can see your hard work keep a desk dry.

This is beyond a bad look. This is the worst look ever.

It's a gross display of his wealth by doing something like this but if he wants to have a 2 million dollar coaster, that is on him. RZA got paid. Not saying that's the most important thing but he got what he felt the album was worth. It doesn't have to be held up in some kind of shrine just because of the price tag.

This is the guy that the Republicans fight to not get taxed. This is the type of person championed for being 'rich' on the back of doing nothing, really. That 2 million he uses for beer coasters could have gone a lot farther had he been properly taxed and that went to social programs.......

But that is 'nother debate brehs.

nikkas scared of this faq but mad at RZA? Nah RZA got finessed. I wouldn't be surprised if Cilvaringz was in on it.

When you ignore the wisdom of your african ancestors this is what happens.

God/Goddess willing this dude is killed soon.

Well he basically sold out Wu's actual fans for some guy who just happened to be rich.

Basically said "fukk you" to his fans to chase the $ and had it backfire in laughably proverbial fashion. Rich psychopath that even Hillary Clinton's made comments about buys the album then has his buddy use it as a coaster. That's an L as an artist.

"For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?"

You can't tell me RZA's soul hasn't been snatched by this a little bit.
Thats bullshyt. 2 mill in RZA pocket is more loot than WU FANS have put in the clans pockets. Wu dont even sell records which means "fans" aint buyin clan records. But niccas talk about he sold out his fans???? How when everytime they give the fans a record niccas shyt on it.
