My point wasn't that white people that tan are still trying to look European. My point was that they aren't trying to look black. I even said they might be doing it to try and look Latin or Mediterranean.
I grew up with white people. I didn't know too many black people growing up. None have ever said they wanted to look black.

Actually white women get perms to get curly hair(which doesn't seem too European to me?).Black girls get relaxers to have straight hair.& Blonde weave and different color contacts does not=trying to be white either.Let's take Beyonce for example.Beyonce does not look best with dark hair.She can look good in black hair but in my opinion it would need some sort of high lights/or ombre dye job.She looks best in blondes,browns,& auburns.They compliment her skin tone.Eve(the model & rapper) & Rihanna also look fab in blonde.In the cosmetic world,trying to be "white," is canceled out.You look best in what you look best in.
