Face is not as successful in hip hop (not talking about loot, just saying overall acclaim/output/influence) as Jay-Z or Nas.

I'd say, arguably, Face is overall the most highly acclaimed of the bunch. When was the last time you heard someone talking about a *bad* Scarface project?

Maybe on The Coli, but in real life, Nas and Jay-Z are arguably the most successful rappers EVER. Nas the most artistically successful, Jay-Z the most commercially successful.

Face is neither. It's not about what's bad. It's about what's superlative. Also, Jay-Z/Nas have way more people scrutinizing their music than Scarface, and yet a considerable amount of their output manages to be incredible. Lettuce be reality.

He is consistently in top 5 talks from other artists as well as Hip Hop fans, his albums are always held in high regard in magazine and review blogs, he is a pioneer not only of the south but of at least 2 styles as well as subject matter, he has been successful in the industry for almost 30 years, has longevity, influence, numerous classics, storytelling ability is better than Jay. The only thing Jigga has more than Face is sales and mainstream popularity.
