Tyson had a very short time as the best before he started coasting off his name. The rest dominated their sports for years

Bonds was never in Tyson, Lt or jordan's distinction or class, ever.

He was never even actually liked as a player, and only sympathy that can be created for him.
Was when he was villified, in the press.
for doing what the safer sosa/mcguire were doing as well.
Past that he was the worst fukk'n a$$hole and most unapproachable player to ever have a baseball card.

One of the only times Barry was allowed to hit in his only World Series was the Main Event Bonds vs Percival

He would've had a ring if the Giants bullpen didn't blow Game 6.

20 years ago the great Ralph Whiley wrote a piece on the OJ verdict and one of the reasons Barry was always hated is because he wasn't smiling for the attention of white America. His greatness was determined on the field not running through airports. This was 1995 and the man was already hated because he wouldn't shuck and jive. He was a black man who did what he wanted.

In retrospect how much of Tyson's dominance was a Don King production.

Oh and osu sucks.

Ralph Wiley wrote that article in 2002. Bonds was not that newsworthy in 1995

:wtf: Bonds was a 3x MVP by 1995 :dead: just admit you didnt watch Bonds and keep it pushing
To most of them Bonds only came on 15 years ago none of them remember Pirates vs Braves all those years for the NL West or how protecting Kent and Bonilla in the lineup made those guys millionaires because nobody would pitch to him. Some of those Giants teams where bad would've been worse without Bonds. The guy was must see TV in a sport than needs a guy like that. That's why Giants fans love him to death they know without him there is no big new ballpark, the fans came to see Barry.

How many ballplayers where so hated by the opposing fans that the only time other than opening day the team sells out a series because one guy is coming to town. Then that guy gets jeered to oblivion hits a bomb and most of those jeering fans stop because they are in awe of him.

Tyson.

the others either are or have a argument as the best ever at what they did
But none of the others was ever really as big (or interesting) as Tyson was.

Let me put it to you this way:

If all 4 of those guys were in a bar, who would you gravitate toward?

I think most would want to be around Tyson.
