:stopitslime: You had a onlooker encouraging everybody else to not even attempt to save the first guy.
Only one person decided jumped in, everybody else was busy screaming or watching. My first thought would be to find something long for dude to grab
:dame:

Bruh, they did try and get him to grab on to something and it didn’t work cause dude was panicking.

They only had less than a minute to figure something out and no option was great cause like I said dude was PANICKING.

Only one brave soul jumped in to help and he ended up dying as well. So how much did that help?

Dude giving the commentary was kind of right, if your not trained in water rescue then a panicking grown man will kill you if you try and save him.

And after doing more research, it seems like the under current is 20 mph. That brotha was a dead man as soon as he went out to get that wood.

White dude probably felt guilty since he wanted it so he went out to try to save him but he basically committed suicide too.

A trained police diver died in that same river late last year so these out of shape, non swimming dudes had no chance.

Lifeguards are taught that you don't jump in the water to help an adult in a drowning situation because studies show that 9 out of 10 times, the person is in too much of a panic to be logical & will likely pull you down in an attempt to save their own life. It's sad to see stories like this but even worse that someone tried to help & they died all because someone wanted a piece of wood to make furniture?
