That article spent less than 25% of its space talking about the actual solution. In fact, it just says "there's a solution" and that's it. Worse than that, it states poverty is the issue and then spins off into a solution that has nothing to do with solving poverty. :snoop:

How is this even possible? Isn’t Maryland full of well educated black folks? No way they’re allowing their kids to screw up like this.

it's sad... my black co-worker said he went to his parent teaching conference meeting with his wife and he was the only black male up in there among 20 black women and the women looked at him like " what are you doing here "

he sad even the moms who was up there had no business up there cause they was less educated themselves... blaming the teachers and not themselves

I can't talk about how maths is taught in the U.S. but where I live maths isn't taught to apply to practically.

I mean some of the guys who failed maths could easily told how much money they could make in the game over a sustained period of time provided the price of the product stayed the same. Or could calculate the the volume of stuff that they were making in metalwork.

I struggled with math in grade school, but mainly for me it was the amount of effort i was putting into it: The repetitious nature didn't jive with me. When I decided I wanted to put more effort into it, I generally did well. My situation is probably not in isolation. Math can be learned at a high level, but its extremely boring to learn and continually practice.

No. Baltimore is filled with lower class blacks and pg/ St Charles has a lot of section 8

Also the black community still struggles with prioritizing education. Not to mention the highest state taxes are in pg and Baltimore yet they have the worst schools. I guess basing school funding on local property tax effects some more than others

The teachers and parents will get the blame

Anything to ignore the fact that some of us are just innately dumb

we can accept the fact that not everyone can shoot like Jordan or Golf like Tiger

but when it comes to stuff like this it's somehow no longer innate, there are external factors. Genes are not a factor

Einstein's, Hawkings and Newton's genius had nothing to do with external factors (Hawkings in fact never studied at all and breezed through his classes)

These kids will receive the help they need once the narrative changes and we have a better understanding of human nature

Until then, they'll continue to suffer, we'll continue to have crime and unemployment
