Why is that surprising? Especially when you factor in people living in low cost of living areas.

AI is about to chop that percentage down tho. A lot of overpaid middle managers in corporate who are going to be phased out.

You are a fukking idiot if you really think this isn't bad. :dead:

Especially when 100k in 2025 is nothing compared to what it was decades ago.

Making over 100k was brag worthy in 1985.:dead:

When the average American could afford to buy a home off of a 25k salary.

Salary growth compared to cost of living, and in contrast to the profits of these corporations is disgusting.
I’d rep you if I could.
:wow:
I thought hitting 100k was going to be game changing. It was cool without kids. Now these babies burning through the bank account.
:picard:
I have boys who were making 150k in ‘08. I couldn’t imagine making that bread back then. Now, I’m trying to hit 200k.

Not sure about the numbers but i do not think most people are lying about what they make on here:

I have posted what i make before and have others. This is a place where there are a lot of older people on here so i would not be surprised if the numbers are skewed a little from real world norms.

Most people who make the cheeky comments are projecting or probably make that amount of money and don't feel as special when surrounded by people making as much or more. Like if you work in tech you'd understand that this is a particular high earning population that disproportionately posts on message boards by simply peaking at what your colleagues are looking at in meetings. Thus you'll find a disproportionate amount of high earning tech brehs gravitating to one of the biggest black centered message boards on the net. It's probably true for lipstick alley too.

Like it's really only two kind of people who post on message boards at this time of the day, the unemployed and the salaried office worker with time to kill.

Stop the bullshyt. Making over 100k a year was bragworthy as recently as 2005. Making 50k a year in 1985 was bragworthy. 50k in 1985 had the purchasing power of 150k in 2025.

I don’t know why folks shyttin on the coli. Of that 18 percent, probably 5% are black men. There are about 15 million working black men in this country. 5 percent of 15 million is 750000. We have about 100000 members here and we all make six figures. Easy math :blessed:
We da bast :blessed:

Both are correct for me: work in IT and my work desk is right next to my personal PC setup at home.
