word like I read this as a good thing. Still faster ram, faster GPU and possibly faster CPU. Combine that with a ground breaking controller redesign, lower price entry and native vita streaming that destroys a Wii U there's no clearer answer than the PS4 being the console for a gamer.

Now that I have calmed down a bit, I can see sony playing the long game with this RAM situation. Know MS is using 3GB for an OS, they possibly don't want to be caught with there pants down like this gen with no memory for cross chat. The memory allocation is 5.5GB not 4.5, so if they are to streamline it as the dev kits become final and they are to reduce the OS footprint or they are able to match an unforseen feature due to memory allocation they are sitting pretty simply because as of now no devs are using all of the memory anyway. Lets see how we look around this time next year.

Not sure what you've been saying, but the prevailing narrative was that the ps4 was this super powerful made strictly for games/gamers machine.



The ram solutions are different yet pretty much equal. And the "superiority" of the ps4 gpu is negligible. The reserved ram for os features is to future proof the consoles. As more features are added over the years that ram will come in handy.

Close to 2 times more powerful GPU i negligible.
