Only 4.5 GB of ram available to games on ps4

I'm getting Xbox at launch and PS4 when exclusives start dropping.

It was y'all running around talking about how much more powerful the ps4 is and how it's so easy to develop for and 6 months ahead of Xbox. And playstaion was all about games while Xbox is just a glorified cable box.
Sony has always promoted their consoles as a multimedia devices. The fact that SCE is currently promoting it as Game-console 1st, doesn't mean shyt to me. The PS4 is still meant to be used as an overall media hub for your living room & that's exactly how I plan to use it, just like I do with my PS3. Sony is a electronics & media entertainment giant, for god's sake! In fact, I expect that the Sony Electronics division (not SCE) to be pushing the media features of the PS4 at CES 2014 in January.
My only contribution to this thread is that nobody will be tapping out these systems anytime soon. The back and forth is kind of useless. Also to my xbox brehs, I see most of yall don't even have a clear understanding of what the xb1 is capable of. I suggest ps4, meach, and all the other xbox brehs look up what xbox has in using a hypervisor. It doesnt technically use 3 gigs of ram for the os. The hypervisor uses 512mb which can suspend the os and allocate up to 7.5 gigs for games if needed, and I have no idea why ms doesn't talk about that and I've never mentioned it bc it's overkill but technically speaking, it's impressive shyt. Dont get all of your info from neogaf breh bc half of them dudes use fancy terms but don't know shyt. Ps4 and xb1 both have so much potential that it's ridiculous but xb1 has a bunch of stooges running the show that wont even tell you all what the damn thing is capable of. Not sure if they'll talk more about it at gamescom but I haven't lied about anything ive told y'all yet.

shyt is comical bruh...Dudes so desperate for PS4 bad news because their console has been stuck in a PR nightmare and was on the verge of being DOA due to later reversed policies. Dudes are laughing but even with 5.5 GB DRR5 we still have more bandwidth for games.

You're generalizing all PS fans. I never said that. I've been the 1 saying that PS4 will have most the media/social/OS features as the Xbox1. It's nuts to think a Electronics/Media-Entertainment giant like Sony would not eventually promote those features for casuals, especially since they've always done it for their previous consoles.

I looked to make sure and from everything I could gather, it didn't have one. They would be better off without it if they already allocated 3.5 gigs to the os because that would be redundant and a waste of resources. Plus im not sure how important app switching is to them plus security issues with the ps4 might be another reason they forgo it. The wording of saying an extra gig would be available to developers in special cases also would suggest they dont have one. Truthfully they don't need it though.
