Nah, breaking the greatest record in history is BIG. 400 three pointers in one season is BIG...

On any other night, this would be the #1 topic....

But 39 year old Kobe just dropped a pretty efficient 60point game and the game winning shot/FT down the stretch like it was 2008 and completely overshadowed everything in his last game ever... An instant classic

I was watching both games btw... ESPN2 on my computer and ESPN on tv. I started to completely ignore
My tv...

Curry got next though. As far as the skills, ability, drive, etc... Curry is that guy now
:francis: must be that new math.

In Kobestan, needing 50 shots to score 60 points and going 6-21 from three is "pretty efficient". :dead:

This was by FAR the least efficient 60-point game of my lifetime. Probably ever.

:russ: how is this even debatable? It's sad watching these stans shed tears over an exhibition game when Kobe himself didn't care.

Call a Harlem Globetrotters showcase a historic basketball moment brehs.

Let them have their tears. This may be the ultimate Kobe moment of all moments.

Meaningless regular season game.
For a team that's going nowhere.
Against a team that's going nowhere.
So puts up an enormous number of shots and calls it an "accomplishment".

That's obviously more significant than setting the wins record. :heh:

Going with overall percentage

And 60 would've been 80+ if he hit half of those 3's... And some rimmed out...

Overall it was pretty efficient. Especially going 5/5 in the 4th and scoring 15 points.

So 50% would be efficient... Which he was 3 shots off from:comeon:

"It was pretty efficient because it would have been efficient if he had made more shots." :deadrose:

The weed must be good in Kobestan. :myman:

Yes, inefficiency comes from NOT making shots. If Kobe had just made 3 more shots each game, he would have shot 53% this year and not that embarrassing 36%. You have to count the % he actually shot - an inefficient 44% - not the imaginary % he would have shot if some of the shots he missed had magically gone in.

He put up 50 shots to get to 60 points. Against a Jazz team who already knew their season was over. Name a less efficient, less relevant to the team 60-point game, ever.
