Yeah, I think the bigger surprise is that it was from this album.
I would've assumed MMLP, SSLP or Eminem Show would've had two #1 singles before Recovery.
Em used to do the goofy radio single and then the rest of his album would be hardcore. Contrary to popular belief, Em was never a radio friendly rapper outside of his goofy singles.

I just looked it up and surprising a lot of his biggest songs never hit #1 (that era had a lot of big pop records). The Real Slim Shady went 7x Platinum but peaked at #4, Without Me went 7x Platinum and peaked at #2, Cleanin out my Closet 3x Platinum and peaked at #4.
