wtf is going on with Sonny Seez? He just disappeared off the face of the earth.

I been wondering the same thing.

They never really addressed it from what I’ve seen other then one recent interview they just kinda left that “we doing our thing, he doing his”

Sonny left the group.

He had an interview a while ago saying that he wanted to go solo and had a lot of ideas that he didn't think would work in Onyx. I think he dropped an album like 15 years ago, but after that, I don’t know about any other music. Fredro said Sonny was still doing shows with them "every now and then", but he's definitely not an official member anymore.

ok bet… that’s more news than ive EVER heard about this.

They never made it seem like it was beef, just that kinda like you said they went their separate ways

One of my favorite groups in the 90's.

Their shows were always crazy! And this album is perfect for live performances. Mad energy!!
Same. I always hated how a lot of hiphop fans try to downplay Onyx or call them corny when they are one of the most influential groups in history. They ushered in that whole grimy, army suit early to mid 90's era of hiphop. That era that many consider to be some of the best.

Yeah, it just kinda seems like he wanted to do his own thing.

It's still weird seeing Stick and Fredro up there by themselves.

Facts. I always feel like people who tried to downplay them just weren't there for that era.

Onyx was the truth. Lyor and Russell always said they helped to save Def Jam. First two albums were classic, to me. Third one was dope too!

yep and my favorite song from their 2nd album wasn't even a song. "I'll murder u" is just an interlude. Then years later with the internet and file sharing, someone uploaded some Onyx files and there was actually a full song from that. I still have no idea why it wasn't on the album.

I think Fredro mentioned that in an interview. Then I heard it on their Cold Case project. Shocked as a MF!

That was a really dope joint. Definitely should've thrown that on the album.
