My friend had to take his car to the dealership, & it had to stay there over the weekend. They did not have a loaner car for him, so I allowed him to use my car for the weekend because I was going to be out of town anyway. When he returned the car to me, it was at a half-tank of gas. Isn't it common courtesy to fill up someone's car to a full tank when you borrow it? I did not say anything to him about it. I just grinned at him when je returned the car, secretly seething about the her audacity to not fill up the tank. I have been talking sh!t about him to our friend group for doing that, and they have run back and told him. When we went out last night, he ain't even give me a glance. The group is split. Some say that he is wrong, but others are saying that I gave him the car at a 1/4 a tank and that he filled it up already when he had it. Am I tripping about the gas situation?

I agree with your friends. He gave you more gas than you had before. What you mad for?

I mean he could've filled it up completely but, it's not a big deal imo.

SMH with the passive aggressiveness. Talking about it to others in hopes they communicate your displeasure to him? How close were you two really if you cant look him in the eye man-to-man and tell him that there's a problem?

In relationships, a lot of altercations stem from miscommunication. The reason me and my boy have been close as blood brothers for the last 19 years is because when there's a problem, we address it on the spot and don't let it linger. We definitely dont deploy middle men in an effort to avoid direct confrontation. We've had arguments, then somebody apologizes, fixes the issue and we move on. That's sort of what family does.

If I was your boy, the fact you'd rather talk about me behind my back instead of approaching me respectfully about what you felt was disrespect would have me looking at you through a different lens. It'd probably be fukk your gas tank at that point. You're not wrong for being bothered, but you're definitely wrong for how you went about expressing your displeasure.
