yo this nikka shaq got some nerve i'll tell you.

"because i'm too big, too strong, and too good...they couldn't give it to me every year"

is this nikka serious?

shaq is a legend and a pantheon great, and yet still... he's not as good as he thinks he is.

Yes he is. Shaq is an ATG, top 3-4 Center to ever play, who had Undisputed GOAT talent....and was BETTER than he actually performed on the nightly basis.

It's amazing, because everything he accomplished that makes him so great, he never played with 100% dedication unless he was angry about something.

Context. There have been various MVPs given to players because they changed teams and made their new team contenders (Barkley, Nash) EVEN THOUGH those same years there were other players (Jordan, Kobe, Shaq) who were better than those who received the award. Using that logic Kidd def should've won one, especially considering Nash won TWO.

KD winning last year imo was just not to give again to Lebron, in the same vein as whoever else than MJ won in the Bulls championship years.

Naw durant deserved it last season

He was the top scorer and okc had a better record than miami

duncan
kg
dirk
amare
shaq
who else am i missing before gasol

Dirk Nowitzki
Tim Duncan
Amare Stoudemire
Yao Ming
Chris Bosh
Dwight Howard
Kevin Garnett
Ben Wallace
Jermaine O'Neal
Shaquille O'Neal

All those players were BETTER than Pau Gasol as late as 2007. He gets traded to the Lakers in 2008, undergoes a rigorous treament in the Kobe System, and emerges a top 5 big man afterwards.

:wow:Some people still don't give Shaq credit for those Lakers years. (not yall just outside ppl, media, etc) I'm sorry, Nash was good but he shouldn't have more MVPs than Shaq. That prime Shaq was literally unstoppable. I still think people don't appreciate what he was. Forget the numbers...they're there for everyone to see but just watching him was just :wow:He wasn't just a man among boys, he was literally scaring nikkas out the paint, dunking and teabagging nikkas as he did it with not an ounce of respect for his opponent in his body. :wow:He stayed way too long in the NBA, but people still don't seem to grasp the dominance that was prime Shaq. I've seen people question Iverson dragging that rec center team to the Finals before they question Nash. :wow:Absolutely crazy.

nikkas need to stop hating on Nash. He was extremely valuable to his team. Without him, that "gimmick" offense wouldn't have worked. Ask the Knicks and the Lakers about that.

H didn't play defense because that was a part of the gimmick. They're defense was better offense. That played into his numbers. So ironically, if he played better defense he probably wouldn't have won MVP because the game would have slowed down and his offensive numbers wouldn't have been as prolific.

Most year's there's another guy who "could have" gotten it. Shaq needs to let that go because we all know who and what he was, MVP or not. MVP isn't everything. :yeshrug:

Pretty much...Kobe made Pau and Bynum good to great big man and Shaq a Champion. It's what the GOAT, since 98, does in his spare time.

Dirk, TD, KG, Yao were better. The rest are arguable. Shaq was on his way down to the point where he was traded for Shawn Marion :heh:, Jermaine O'neal played like 45 games, Bosh wasn't as skilled as Pau (nor will be ever be to be honest). That said, I will concede that I was wrong because Dwight Howard was definitely better
