Never had an 'open' relationship, but I have had many polyamorous relationships which work well as long as everyone within them is disciplined and abides by and agrees to the same ruleset.

The type of women I pursue believe being with multiple men is impure. So thats a start.

I find that if you can attract women of a certain standard, they are very accepting of other women that meet those standards. That is the key.
If you are simultaneously pursuing women below that standard you are lowering the quality of the group relationship and may lose or anger her.
Once she trusts you, and because she trusts herself, she will trust another woman she believes equal to herself. But if you bring in a woman she believes is not on par with her she will be distrusting of her and also distrusting of you and your lowered standard as result, and it will fail.

Vice versa, if you bring in a woman she believes she cannot compete with, there will be self esteem issues and power jockeying.

Gotta keep it all balanced.
