Love them for doing their job? I've literally been in the office when they make the fix to one's pay. The shyt isn't an arduous task.

And the amount of times that Admin will completely fukk up (losing paperwork, not adding awards even though you have asked them multiple times, etc.) negates them...you know...actually doing their easy ass job. Administration rates don't do any physical labor, and the work that they do at their desk isn't even able to be compared to an LSs. PSs handle money at the personnel level, and LSs do so at the command/TYCOM level.

Them nikkas don't even stay true to their customer service hours. Customer service opens up at 0830, best believe that they will have that ass at the door for a smooth 30 minutes waiting. nikkas will have you waiting at the door while they're in there grubbing and shyt.

Tell me why I've met Master Chiefs that don't even know what the fukk their sailors are doing...in that easy ass job.

Bro, you’re basing this off the AF. The AIR FORCE. When they do deploy they only go for 90 days unless they’re the ones that get embedded with other services. They don’t deploy as full units like the other services. Terrible comparison.

Coming from someone that has been in the entirety of BOTH recent Wars...multiple deployments; we are heading into a peace time military. No combat deployments will be the norm. Training, Peace Keeping Missions, Emergency relief, and joint ops will be the new norm. All of which require sacrifice. I can tell you that the OPTEMPO (operations tempo) of the forces will still be stupid high. Seasoned soldiers know that war time OPTEMPO is in some ways "better", as it's predictable and leadership allows adequate rest/downtime to accommodate the effect on the psyche. It's fukked up tho, because we train way harder than we fight....and many hold the belief that since there is no real enemy in peacetime, that you can train nonstop. I have observed more suicides in the last 2 years than the last 8 of the Afghan War in my units. This military shyt isn't a walk in the park, it's easier for some, but that easier is way more than a regular person would like to deal with.

It sounds like a knock to all branches I guess, but the point was the folks doing the real heavy lifting in combat and being overseas in general in hotter zones raise the status of the every day folks over who will never see anything of the sort in their military career. Treating my buddy who works in an office at the base all day like he’s some war hero just because he’s in the military. My brother in law did 4 tours overseas. Guess who makes more money and gets better perks? If you guessed the one who’s never set foot outside of America and never been in any danger you would be correct
