It sounds like a knock to all branches I guess, but the point was the folks doing the real heavy lifting in combat and being overseas in general in hotter zones raise the status of the every day folks over who will never see anything of the sort in their military career. Treating my buddy who works in an office at the base all day like he’s some war hero just because he’s in the military. My brother in law did 4 tours overseas. Guess who makes more money and gets better perks? If you guessed the one who’s never set foot outside of America and never been in any danger you would be correct

Military pay isn’t supposed to be on par with the rest of American society (as fukked up as it sounds) but that’s the way it’s structured. Generals rarely step foot outside the wire either but their base pay is over six figures and they don’t kick in not a single door. Guess they’re standing on the shoulders of the “real” soldiers

Don’t let titles fool you. There are units that go outside the wire more than others that aren’t combat such as transportation and engineers. Some combat units don’t care what your job is. If they go over to kick in doors, everybody kickin in doors. Plus once you over there, your chances of dying are on par with everyone else’s. Not everyone lives off the base cause if we’re basing it on imminent danger, SFABs deserve more kudos than infantry dudes

I'm starting to think everyone knows someone who was sexual assaulted or had sexually assaulted someone.

I use to think women getting raped and not reporting it was some made up fact till I seen the shyt happen myself.

This Mexican dude I worked with raped a woman at a party when she was blacked out drunk, and everyone knew it but nothing ever happened to dude. The girl got fukked up and the host of the party let her sleep it off in his bed, later that same host went to check on her and caught breh fukking her while she was clearly passed out. Dude just looked at the host and asked if he wanted to go next, but dude just said he was good. That guy ended up busting a nut on her face, took pictures of the shyt, then started showing people at work the pictures like it was some cool shyt to brag about. The girl was clearly unconscious in the pictures and didn't remember any of it happening until word started going around the job. She quit and disappeared without ever reporting it. An older dude reported it to hr but they just moved him to another department. Dude ended up getting drunk months later, crashed his motorcycle head first into a truck and died. Nobody gave a fukk, everyone was glad he was dead.

Here are couple videos that discuss the harm that Brown vs Board of education created.
Although the playing field seemed leveled the polices that were enacted after the cases were created did more harm towards African Americans than whites. In one of the videos, it discusses the role Brown vs Board of education had on teachers. When schools desegregated, African Americans teachers were not employed by the schools. Teacher are huge gatekeeper to success. If you look back schools are more segregated now than they before, achievement gaps didn't rise for black students after the brown vs Board.

Sadly, I have studied this. I do believe that brown vs board didn't do what it was intended to do. The achievement gap is still as wide as it ever been between whites and blacks. When they used property taxes and zip code to provide funding to schools the education issue became a housing problem. It seems like we stepped one foot forward but two steps back with Brown vs Board.
