Stop it with your theatrics...you fear mongering donkey. If I was part of that...I wouldn't spend my time talking to y'all.

I would bet at least 1 user in this thread (@Yup ) is a paid govt troll probably a 19 year old white boy fronting like a black female from Canada ...

Cointelpro continues on...and these fake fembots actually encourage real young impressionable black girls to emulate this behavior...and for now our movement has stalled ...

But I won't give up on my real black sistas... Holding it down...My Queens

Now that i'm home and im on my laptop let me address your bullshyt nonsensical post. first Oprah shouldnt be talking about leadership when she sits on the fukking chicago hill and counts her money. fukk all that gender biased bulllshyt. I can understand if wealthy black men became leaders and helped with the cause but lets' be honest Oprah is the biggest fukking hypocrite i have ever seen. Like i said she talks a good game but she aint about doing shyt for the regular black folk in america, she'd rather build a school in africa then to help the poor black people of chicago.

Also if i was in her situation and had billions I'd give my fukking last dime to fund the ferguson and protesters and get lawyers to change these laws, fukk with these cop unions, take the power out of their hands. The Koch Brothers Do it, The lobbyists on capital hill do it. She talks alot of shyt but I didnt see her ass donating anything to the mike brown or eric garner families or tamir rice, or ezell ford...

fukk that fat ugly bytch.... IDGAF!!! :pacspit:

I knew that the insults hurled at her was about that. I read up on her reason on it...and although I do believe that charity starts at home, she has long been criticized for how she dispenses her hard earned money. The school built in africa is not the only charity work that she has done or her only contribution.

Second; where are the other wealthy black americans that can do more for black america? What are they using their money for? Why should oprah be put on the stake cause she has a billion dollar net worth? Would you let black america get in your pockets and feel entitled to your money?

Oprah has given and continues to give quite a bit. The same criticism was made of MJ before all his monetary contributions were found.

Didn't Jay-Z get railed against because of his supposed silence on this same issue? I don't like the timing of the interview but then again, this may be the first time anyone may have asked for her opinion. I don't like the fact that she says these protests lack the discipline of the Civil Rights protests. The situation is different.

Oprah wasn't encouraging anything except people going to see her new movie. She made some empty comments in reference to the police issue. She says that she wants to see leadership lay out all of the things that we want illustrating how out of touch that she truly is. Last time I checked she's black. It wasn't too long ago that she claimed to be racially profiled at some store over in Europe only to be forced to apologize because she didn't have undeniable proof. She should know what WE want. She's supposed to part of the community. If she's looking for leadership why doesn't she look to the leader that she helped elect to the white house which she knows personally? If she's looking for r leadership then why doesn't she put some/more of her resources behind the development of future black leaders? These comments seem to come from someone outside of the community who feels removed from the situation.

You sound very stupid right now. So, she's black...and?
That's your problem...she should know what we want? No boo, you have to have tangible laid out plan that would covert or reduce the incidences of police brutality. The whole we want 7 acres and a mule or equality isn't a tangible plan and you ain't going to get it that way.

Tell me, these black athletes are black too...did they quit playing for their team because their owner was racist.

What did those male entertainers do besides wear shirts as 'protest' while not messing with their money.

Was it not Pharrell talking that new black ish that continues to get him clowned.
And Kanye and his self absorbed black arse trying to portray himself as some kind if militant while trying to beg white powerful men in the fashion industry to cut him a piece. Didn't 50 cent/dr dre gave money to a pwi school that they never attended while that money could have been given to a hbcu?

What about Diddy...mr flash...what is his contribution on the subject or any bkack centered organization?

I don't agree with what she says but this isn't about that...it's her money and she'll do as she pleases with it and y'all will just have to deal.

I can go on for days...ya I'd take oprah over all these men above.

See post below. This isn't about what Oprah said...dudes don't like her and are finding any excuse to rail her through the mud.

It's embarrasing.

On a thread about Civil rights and oppression you got @Yup in here with some divisive feminist bullahit.

Then she has the nerve to ask "what have black men done":mindblown:

That's the mentality that gives rise to the bedwenching.

:pachaha:
Dude is a white troll pretending to be a black female.
He's getting more blatant and and so the mods will get rid of 'em soon but until then, it's best to ignore it.
Make him talk to himself long enough and eventually to elicit a response, he'll have to result back to extremes and liken black males to monkeys like he has in the past.
Admins will pull the trigger eventually.

no black celebrity from the 60's??

Those celebrities showed their support, but they wasn't in any leadership position as far as I'm aware (I could be wrong). I know after some black celebrities after their careers were over started putting in work ( Jim Brown comes to mind).

Personally I believe we should stop expecting celebrities or rich black people to swoop in and save us. shyts never gonna happen. It's gonna take the poor and middle class (aka the masses of us) to come together, figure out a plan, and execute it.

In the 60's there was Bill Russell, Ali, Wilt. And even now we have LeBron, Amare, Hov. I think a lot of folks in this thread just don't understand how big money works. Word to how you said them folks was down to pull they resources if Farakkan went through w/ what he was tryna do. LBJ and Hov are two guys I really admire for they moves, but they move in such a lowkey manner that it often seems like they ain't doing anything. Don't forget Hov brought Bey out to march the first time around ('12 for Trayvon) and LBJ told nikkas he was finna wear one of them 'I Can't Breath' shirts soon as he got one.

For all the arguing and name calling going on we really seem to be in the middle of the uprising like vegetables in soup. The realest nikkas are alive today it's just hard to understand the puzzle from close-up.

You sound very stupid right now. So, she's black...and?
I explained the "and" you dumb bytch. Oprah shouldn't look at this situation and say "what y'all should do is....." Oprah's comments seem to come from someone who's completely out of touch and removed from the situation. She is black. She's part of "us" or "we". She's one of the most powerful and influential axle in the community. If she's not going to use her resources to help come up with solutions then she shouldn't comment at all. That's my point here dumb fukk.

That's your problem...she should know what we want? No boo, you have to have tangible laid out plan that would covert or reduce the incidences of police brutality. The whole we want 7 acres and a mule or equality isn't a tangible plan and you ain't going to get it that way.
If Oprah thinks that WE/US(herself included) need to come up with some kind of "tangible plan" then why doesn't she get personally involved? Why is she sitting on the sidelines yelling out half-assed coaching strategies in between promoting herself? Yes she should know what we want. The people out there protesting are clear on what they want.

What do people want? Blacks to stop being killed by law enforcement with impunity.

What changes do people want to see made? Blacks stop being killed by law enforcement officials with impunity.

What are the steps that we need to take to make these changes? The obvious first step would be to start charging and convicting law enforcement officials who unjustly kill blacks.

What are people willing to to make the changes happen? Marching/protesting so far.

Like I've said, her comments were empty. She doesn't really give a fukk about the issue and was only speaking on it because she was asked about it. She was there to promote herself and her movie.

Tell me, these black athletes are black too...did they quit playing for their team because their owner was racist.

The fukk does any of this have to do with Oprah's comments? Your miserable c00n ass is hell bent on pushing this gender war. fukk you and the rat of you gender warriors. You clearly work for the ofher team.

I don't agree with what she says but this isn't about that...it's her money and she'll do as she pleases with it and y'all will just have to deal.

This is only about what Oprah said you stupid ass bytch. You're trying to make it about something else(black men vs black women) because you have an obvious agenda. Like most black feminists you're on some divide and conquer shyt.
