He mostly said the coaches dont understand the game and they don't play defense the way they should

It's mostly true

How many times do you see guys running under the screen with Steph behind the line popping the 3

I watched the Bulls play the Wizards without their star players and they're making layups like it's a drill

No rotation no switching

Sh*ts disgusting breh
GS will set a hundred screens to free up Steph and Klay for them to take one shot.

I think that has more to do with GS than it has to do with opposing defenses not knowing how to guard the shooter. Steph is unlike any player we've seen, so the way they draw plays for him is unlike anything we've ever seen. Today's coaches know what to do against Golden State. They're just as smart as they've ever been.

It's just hard to execute the game plan, because Steph is something they haven't dealt with. Today

Whining.

Reality is that players are getting physically more capable, no one would be able to stop the Warriors from his era either.

Like fukkin 6'7 cac centers were such a force lol

Granted Steph is a special player
And I'm moreso taking about the league as a whole is not playing consistent defense with maximum effort

But as far as Steph goes.. I don't see alot of effort to get the ball out of his hands

And denying him the ball all over the court

I don't see teams switching up defenses (although I don't watch every game)

And the game as a whole is not as fun to watch anymore as far as the regular season goes

This is the first time in a long time that I've watched Reg games and it's about the same or worse than I remember it the last time..

I'll look forward to the playoffs to see if anyone does anything worth watching

I remember last year started off great then it fizzled out

The idea that any of those teams from back in the day could compete with today's teams is ridiculous. The players today are much bigger, stronger, eat better and with technology and metrics have the ability to study the game more than ever before. If you have ever watched highlights of old games it's like they are playing in slow motion, the Warriors of today would run them out of the gym.

Having said that I saw all of the Bulls championships in the 90's and if the 72-10 team played this Warriors team I think they would win in 5 or 6 but that's not taking anything away from the Warriors, those Bulls teams were insane.

I think the only problem with today's game is that there are too many teams which waters down the product. There's really only 3-4 teams that have a legit shot at the championship and it's probably only 2 (warriors, Spurs)

oscar right. look at this lockdown defense he had to play against. coaches now are smarter and defenses/offenses are more complex than they have ever been

youre really not helping your case with this video.

in every clip, theyre either on him like white on rice or theyre double-teaming. they just couldnt stop him and his innovative moveset.

look at him hit that J on bill russell.:ahh:

He's incredibly bitter, he always talked slick about :mjpls: when he got the chance. It's sad to go through life carrying that much misery.

That being said, every player today owes him a debt of gratitude for his work as NBAPA president. Know your history.

oscar doesnt say anything that older bball fans in general dont say all the time about michael jordan and the current nba.

yall need to converse with older folks man. theres more gems being dropped, as opposed to just conversing with your peers, who are in the same boat as you.

and as far as jordan goes, they changed rules in order to enhance his strengths and threw a hype machine behind him. im not saying he isnt an option in goat convos, but the way people carry on like hes the undisputed goat is ignorant.

Yeah because you saw his whole career from an adult perspective and able to put it in proper context

This post feels like you are trolling me :camby:

did you see michael jordan's career from an adult perspective?

did you even see it at all in real-time?

only difference is the media TELLS YOU to honor michael jordan. that and his name is on the best sneaker brand.

The current NBA does suck. He cant be the one to say it though because its a no win situation for him. Jim Brown says the same shyt about football but nobody calls him "old & a hater"

yep. people dont disregard & disrespect football legends either, aside from the all-white years.

i think its beccause football isnt as casualy-friendly when it comes to serious debates.

basketball suffers from the same syndrome as hip-hop. everybody wants to pose as an expert out the blue.

nikka, I don't have fukkin watch a players entire fukkin career to know their greatness. Half this fukkin board that comments on NBA weren't even alive during MJ's first 3-peat yet they be on his dikk as the GOAT. He averaged a triple double over his first five seasons in the league. No one's even come close to that. The bolded names won't even come up in GOAT discussions so I don't see your reason for even mentioning them

hell, alot of these dudes didnt even catch the 2nd 3-peat.

alot of cats on here dont really even watch games now. just highlights, and at the most, they watch the bigger games,

I said this in a previous thread,Cavs showed the blueprint on how you can beat them unfortunately theey were missing two key players.

But they played a style i havent seen any team try to use against them this year....Slow the game down, force them on the perimeter and make it a slow methodical half court type game and contest everything....

i dont know about cleveland.

i think low-key, kyrie & love going down helped them in the sense that those two are defensive liabilities.

they just needed another go-to scorer to compensate, and they couldve won last year.
