Other than Al B Sure, who else could've featured on Quincy Jones' song "Secret Garden"?

People are saying artists that weren't even out yet. Or established. LOL!

Back in '89, Luther would've KILLED on a track like this. Can't forget about Freddie Jackson too. Howard Hewett is another dude that would've been perfect on this track back then.

Al B was a Quincy Jones protege, one of the main reasons he got the gig

Truth.

But by the time they went in to work on Back on the Block, Al B was R&B's biggest star, and was about to close in on a couple million albums sold for his own album. So having him on there brought in the younger crowd because the rest of the track was vets. Dude was actually a rapper that turned into a singer and blew up! He was also down with Heavy D and Teddy Riley, so he was mad connected to all the right people in '88-'89.
