Its terrible this young lady lost her life over something thats so meaningless, but we have to understand what goes on with these young black men minds. They're brains are wired differently than some of yall. Living in a place where your economically deprived of not having much at all, breeds innocent kids/teens into straight savages (I hate to use that term). Some of us are fortunate to make it out/break the cycle to become more enlightened & do great things. We have a massive group of young black men that are so damaged sociologically that it'll take a miracle to wake them up. The system these white people put in place for us is hell on earth. What were seeing are side-effects of White Supremacy.
Some of yall might be far removed, but I live in the state of Illinois in a small majority black town thats has 1 gas station, 1 grocery store thats closing soon, a health clinic thats closing, a ton of liquor stores own by arabs and a bunch of closed/run down businesses w/ abandoned homes. I see defeat in these people's faces. I see people drowning their cries in fukking alcohol aging by the second. I see friends I can't even look in the eye anymore because they strung out on crack/cocaine. My best friend just joined a gang last night and everywhere I look I see nikkas shakin up/throwing up signs. I'm planning on moving soon, but alot like here and many places in this state as well in midwest, Were really going thru it.
Being deprived leads to devilish behaviors, violence, crimes, prostitution, addictions, jealously, low-self esteem, depression and hatred. This is why blacks love to flash & stunt all the time on other blacks. This is why a nikka might cop a 2015 malibu, set it on 4's but ends up in debt just to floss, impress hoodrats and feel good about himself. Then you have the gangs, where its filled with black men who are fatherless & directionless in life. Then you tie in the rap music aspect that promotes and glorifies the negative parts of the community. Its just so many layers to this shyt, that you can't just focus on one. Its a combination of many problems & issues. Black on Black crime happens simply because blacks are the majority in a closed tight environment.
Sometimes, its hard for me to cope with so much shyt I experienced or seeing whats outside my doorstep everyday. shyt, I'm low key depressed right now. Again, Its saddening that this innoncent woman lost her life and I'm not making excuses. But I'm not gonna sit here and say "burn down all the section 8 housings" and "lock all these thugs up/kill em". Thats just fukking wrong & stupid. Our people need help, need mental evaluations & un-wiring, placed in better environment, etc etc. Everyone in the ghetto are not bad people and are spraying bullets at innocents...you muthauckas.

Our problem is cultural, you're asking us to do a quick fix to a culturally embedded problem, that takes time. But when we have you pseudo PR reps for our community that don't even like to use the term "black on black" we're nowhere close to even making the first steps toward change

A life sentence is already in order for the miscreants and murderers in these neighborhoods. You're acting as if society is going easy on them. What else would you do? The very reason why some of these neighborhoods are so violent in the first place is because people are using their own brand of street vigilante justice. The rival gang members think the Opps(opposition) are the miscreants who need to be taken out, when in reality both sides are evil.

I think its time to give it up my brother. This post only got 2 daps. Awhile back, this post would have gotten hella daps, but we are waking up now. Whether YOU see it or not, it IS a factor. Its casting a dark cloud over the black community. Its polluting already impoverished and impressionable minds. Nobody is saying "rap causes violence" directly. You are the only one suggesting that. What its doing is more subtle than that. Its playing on the subconscious and thats why its so effective. Its making criminal and destructive behavior seem "cool" and its also making us view OURSELVES as the enemy. I hope you wake up soon and realize what "gas on top of the fire" means
