On track number 4 and this nikka is really trying to bring back that 90s Death Row sound.. it's got the whistle synth and the drums and pianos... i'm PLEASANTLY fukking surprised. Way better than that Dogg Pound album that recently dropped. Daz literally still has the same exact flow and cadance on every song like he did in the past but it's more of a goddamn vibe with him.

Album definitely sounds like it so far, my guess is its Daz and the usual suspects for the most part. Not sure if any platform has the proper credits, Spotifiy where I'm listening doesn't.

He hasn't really used "type beat producers" on a solo project since 2018's Smoke Me Out, which was more of a compilation anyways, it also came out on the heels of Dazmatazz double album which is vintage Daz.

For the most part all the projects of the past 5 years has been Daz working with Ivan Johnson who plays alot of the live instrumentation, Amplified and Soopafly.Outsode producers aside from the aforementioned core has been producers like Havoc, Dae One, Battlecat, Shorty B and other mainstay beatsmiths.

Smoke Me Out, The collab with Gipp and the underwhelming DPG4Life was really the only projects where he was outsourcing Temu producers.

Appreciate the insight, Daz and Soopafly were always a great combo

This chit bangs, but the title is not gonna help.
As many of you have said, the first is a classic.
But you know what? So was the first Dogg Food - and Daz damn near duplicated that with Tha Doog Pound Gangsta LP,
and I will die on that hill. I say that to say Daz has flown close to the sun a couple times when paying homage to the old chit.

I really like a handful of these songs, doe.
And it is current, I’ll give it that…

tbh even tho they all had nice verses Rage would have wiped the floor with them if she had a verse on it

but you right
I'm really hoping she will be able to drop one more album, her health has been really shaky the past few years too so that probably adds to some of her absences.

Yeah the were on a mean run behind the boards from 94 to 99ish, I'm actually really looking forward to Dogg Food 2 this halloween, 30 years to the day, Its apparently gonna be mostly Daz and Soopa on the beats for the project. If DF2 is of the same caliber as RRGB2 I'll be content. Dogg Food might be my favorite album of all time when I really think about it.

With this RRGB sequel it almost seemed like he went through the OG tracklist and kinda followed the script structurally, km hoping he does the same with DF2, hes been flipping a lot of classic beats the past few projects so it would be dope of he does that again, a Respect update would be dope.
