Not the artists but labels. The biggest live audience they'll ever get and there's historical data that says artists sales and relevancy increase directly after a Super Bowl halftime performance.

Me too. Its has to be annoying to hear your partner say I hate playing that damn song but if I perform it will be the long form studio version and the interlude.
I love Outkast and the Fugees and want to hear more from them but if they are just doing it for money and not all motivated the performance or new album will be bad.
