Im just using your logic against you. You said they were alternative and in the video they said they were trying to appeal to a broad base. You cant try to reach a large audience and be alternative at the same time

Organized Noize mentioned Dre in passing. That is not the core of the conversation. The core of the conversation is how they wanted to appeal to a larger market while having some sort of credibility with their music and thus structured their music a certain way. Which is why they infused stuff with RnB/pop/soul elements but rightfully stayed away from keyboard sounds so it wouldn't sound p*ssy. Why are you avoiding this very obvious convo? None of your responses have dealt with this head-on. Instead you've deflected every step of the way to mention tangential shyt. Do you not understand what we mean by Outkast being alternative hip hop, and how that has always been popular with casuals? Just say you don't understand instead of pretending otherwise.
