What I'm saying is BOTH Andre and Big Boi were sought after for features.

Andre and Big Boi both have production credits on other artists albums.
I think Big Boi had more features than Andre in the 90s :ohhh:
I wonder if that's just Andre being Andre though :yeshrug:

I looked up the Andre production credits. Nothing noteworthy.
Put me on to the Big Boi productions.

So Cal
I didn't discredit everything that everybody posted.

I discredited most(not everything) of what YOU posted. don't try to rally the troops because you cant hold your own.
and I discredited most of what YOU posted as industry bs, because most of your chit was industry. what a magazine said, or how many spins laface/arista paid for.

you were ray benzino on sohh.
and I think the quote I referenced from you wasn't even on SOHH.
Don't know what quote your referencing but again, I never posted on sohh. My join date 2014, not 2012.

I can't hold my own?

I'm giving you facts, you coming back with unsubstantiated claims. You can prove absolutely none of the shyt that you're saying. :childplease: You never had a chance.

I could be wrong about the sohh thing.

:dahell: no nikka, I never posted on sohh.

Then every goat who has been on a major is disqualified for industry shyt in that case. I can make your argument about anybody.

Jay a goat? he had hish and plaques, nikkas bought his albums, but naw he had that universal backing, industry shyt.:camby:

Snoop a goat? Platinum plaques, his, goat album. Naw that's that interscope backing, industry shyt.:camby:

https://www.allmusic.com/subgenre/alternative-rap-ma0000012203

again, if you didn't understand the term "alternative hip hop", you could've just said so.

Lemme highlight the part to make it easier for you:

Before you start talking about "well, DJ Premier sampled jazz, isn't he alternative?" No. The jazz aspect is a small part of the song all things considered. It's not 'equal'. His stuff is still structured in 100% hip hop fashion.

Regular Atlanta dudes making RnB/funk mixed with hip hop stuff, sure.

Can't help but mention other rappers in an Outkast only discussion :snoop:
The article you posted further proves how dumb the term alternative rap is and how most people don't know shyt about hip hop. Who the fukk wrote that dumb ass article?
:mjlol:

Hip hop wouldn't even exist without other genres. Based on this article than The Message was "alternative". And you can tell some white dude who prolly isn't even a fan of the music wrote.

The reason I keep bringing up Dr. Dre is for context purposes. If Organized Noize was doing the same thing as Dre wouldn't that make him alternative rap as well? what makes them alternative rap and him not? Please answer the question

3.) I saved this for last because I wanted to stay on topic, but am I supposed to be impressed by these okie-doke lookin' muf*kkas in your picture? and you keep stressing age and schools. DOG, you don't know my pedigree. this may look corny in text, but just for the record, I was raised around the real LIVE types, ranging from people younger than me, all the way up to their 40s, and I'm talking in real-time when you were taking your little picture that you went out of your way to upload. yall come with these little internet arguments about how old you are and what schools you went to, but yall aint nobody's oldhead. lemme tell you how this goes ON SOME REAL CHIT. @BmoreGorilla is like 2-3 years older than me, and youre prolly a couple years older than him, but if I was cordial with yall in real life, even back in 94-95, yall would be MY young buls. not the other way around. and if you still don't get the point, then that's on you. so for the last time, stop trying to "pull my card" on the slick. you tried this before but you could never pull my card. ur not cut like that AT ALL. so stay in your lane. I don't disregard you like the other black posters that str8 diss you on here. but just know, I could go in way harder than they do. NO HOMO.

You getting cornier and cornier in this thread:russ:

You think I gaf about whatever stripes you claim to have in a thread about Mobb Deep and Outkast?:heh:

@Sir biatch explained it already.

well the person I was responding to, thought he was gonna get his stripes up on me, that was the purpose of my rant.

I see you didn't answer my main question tho.

and the difference with jay, snoop & them is that nobody relies on simpleton arguments in their favor like "he was on the radio" or "he was on martin".

and you know why? because they don't have to. they have way better & more important arguments to make in their favor.

everything you say in favor of outkast, could be applied to someone like say, a coolio.

Kast wasn't looked at as some R&B group when they came out breh cut that out. nikkas couldn't have appeared on Waiting to Exhale that sounds ridiculous:mjlol:

That's why I brought up your age becuz you obviously don't remember what was going on in real time. I remember you sayng you were born in 86 so you weren't even 10 yet. I doubt you've ever even listened to Southernplayalistic

:dahell:nikka is you blind? I don't know wtf babysit shyt you talking about, I ain't that nikka for the millionth time.

:hubie:I'm done with the back and forth though. Your have nothing but unsubstantiated claims to walk on. The simpleton arguments only apply to you, you don't have to bring up shyt like that in the real world because nikkas already know. It's just when you get hit with facts you hit the

CUT THE CHIT

@Sir biatch explained it already.

I have a copy of SPCM actually. as well as the 2 albums afterwards. I'm also on record IN THIS THREAD, saying that SPCM is a classic and just as good as "hell on earth". you stay playing yourself.

youre putting words on my keyboard. I never said they were looked at as some r&b group.
they were seen as bullchit or some 'on some r&b chit' to a lot of people tho. YES. I even gave you examples of prominent figures who looked at them in that light. and you ignored it. just like with the alternative rap tag argument you are having with @SirBiatch - its the same situation/same pattern. just admit you weren't privy to the information & move on.

I was born in '85 actually. I was headed into 6th grade when them dudes got booed out the awards. while you were a reject headed into 7th or 8th grade that wouldn't have even been able to kick it in my circles in REAL-TIME. not to mention, i was running with niccas that were older than you half the time. don't worry about my age. worry about how corny you were instead, dummy.

edit: and yea, if "waiting to exhale" had a male rap song on there, you best believe laface would've forced an outkast song in there. just like they did with the soul food soundtrack.

why didn't you say this in the previous post instead of tip-toeing??

lol. you wouldn't be able to talk hip-hop up here in real-life. stick to the internet.

"bu bu but they were on martin".
