If you compare their debut to "Stankonia" it doesn't even sound like the same group but if you compare it to "Elevators" it could be on the same album. Their transition was gradual over 4 albums.

It was definitely gradual. When you think about it Andre started dressed weirder on each album but to me they just were showing growth with the music. Stankonia was when they went full out weird from Andre's clothes and singing to the production to the weird music videos

Outside the first album, earthtone iii produced most of Outkast shyt.

Earthtone iii = outkast + mr. dj
That’s not really true. ONP had the majority of the beats on the second album. It was about even on Aquemini.
