I cant even explain what was going thru my young mind when I saw that Hot Springs episode that never aired here in america. but yeah great show. I still havent watched the spin off they made.

When I got to watch some of it all I could was sit there amazed.
The outro songs were epic too.
Outlaw Star needs a movie made like how they did a Trigun movie years later after the show ended.

The omission of that episode crippled the finale.
When I watched it back then I was like
when Gene battled the Anten Seven and Hazanko with his Castor gun.When I decided to watch the series again on DVD and caught the Hot Springs episode I was like
While it looked like a filler fun time episode it was actually very important to the plot because that's where Gene got them extra special shells that he used in the finale against the bad guys.

I watched this series again about 3 months ago and it aged pretty well. Its a damn shame that it was released around the same time as CB and gets overlooked by many people.
It did way better in the US than it did in Japan though.
@ Joss Whedon who says Outlaw Star didn't inspire his Firefly show.They both almost start the same damn way. They're both space westerns and the main characters have almost the same goddamn morals.

I need to watch the entire series all the way through again with the hot springs in it. I watched the CN version that didn't have that episode. I have to watch the first saga of Robotech first.

That's what I'm saying. The two shows share a lot of elements, it's so obvious. Maybe Brett threw suggestions without saying it was from OS to mix up with Joss Whedon's idea for the show.
